Anyone have DCs without any kind of attachments to toys, etc?

I find it so interesting...but Riley hasn't attached to anything yet. I put her in her crib with a lovey, a bear, some books (she does love the booksChat Icon) but when it comes time to sleep, she just wants to suck her thumb and twirl her hair. Chat Icon

She is only 13 months but...just wondering if this is something that happens later, or just misses some kids.Chat Icon She also doesn't show a huge preference to toys. The only thing I notice is how much she loves Yo Gabba Gabba. Chat Icon

Does anyone have DCs that didn't really have an attachment til much later?

Your DDs lovey is likely her thumb. It is the same for my DS. Now at 3 he is starting to take toys to bed with him like his thomas trains or chuggington trains.

The only thing DS is attached to at 17 months is his pacifier. Chat Icon Actually, only to sleep, but still, no special toy, lovey, etc. Maybe it comes when they're older.

My one daughter has gotten attached to two little things. A giraffe from the gymini thing and a little lamb from the lamb swing. She LOVES both. If she is really upset and I bring one of them to her she calms down. My other daughter likes to play with things but after a few minutes is onto something else.

My 3 year old was on the paci until almost 3. But other than that, has no "lovey" or whatever....

DS is 15 months & he's more into the remote than any toys. He generally just chews on toys or carries them around rather that full on playing with them & he has no attachments to anything particular.

DS is 15 months & is only attached to his fingers which are constantly in his mouth.

DD has had her "baby", a bunny/blanket since she was born. She doesn't leave the house w/o it (she's 3).

My DD isn't attached to any toys but she does need like 20 plus blankets in her crib to go to sleep with.Chat Icon
