Anyone have en elilptical? Height ?

If you have an elliptical, did you have issues with it in a room with 8 foot ceilings? (ours seems to be 8 feet plus an 1.5 inch -97.5 inches)

We bought a Nordic Track elliptical and it will be here Fri., but now I'm 2nd guessing the height.

DH is 6'3'' with sneakers. The highest point we would be on the elliptical is 20 inches off the ground. So, he will basically have about 2.5 inches clearance on it. Is this insane? I'm contemplating cancelling it now b/c I'm affraid he can't use it.

Where the heck to tall people put their ellipticals?!

I don't know the exact height of the ceiling or the elliptical, but my brother who is 6'2 is too tall to use the elliptical my parents have in their basement.

I think basement ceilings are usually around 7 feet. This is a normal 8 foot ceiling in the top floor.

I think we will just get it and if he cant use it we will just keep his gym membership.
