Anyone have heartburn in early 2nd trimester
For the past couple of days, I feel like my food is getting stuck at the bottom of my throat (heartburn/ageda). I've been taking tums quite often. I've never had a problem w/this before.
I know in the last trimester that happens but is it normal for it to happen now (14w4d)?
I also feel I am more gassy (sorry tmi  ) but I have been having stomach pains at the top of my stomach (right below chest). Anyone else have the same problems?

I've had heartburn/reflux every day since about 5 weeks. When it gets really bad, I take Zantac 75. You may want to stay away from chocolate, citrus, garlic, onions, tomatoes, spicy food and fatty food, which tend to cause heartburn. Feel better.

I started at 10 weeks and stopped when I gave birth!
I never left the house without tums. In the second trimester drinkign milk also helped.
If it gets really bad your Dr can prescribe some safe medication to help!

I had heartburn in every trimester.  I tried staying away from certain foods for a while, but discovered no matter what I ate, I would have it. I just had Tums Smoothies everywhere - home, work, car, purse.
It does go away after the baby is born. I really enjoyed my hospital food because it was the first time in 9 months I didn't get heartburn after I ate!

Yes! I never had heartburn in my life until about 14 weeks. Tums didn't even help!

ugh im almost in tears right now because of the heartburn and if i eat one more tums i honestly think i might throw up. my bf keeps telling me to relax, its almost over, but im really at my wits end! tuesday is not coming fast enough!
