Anyone have internet service Separate from phone cable??
We have Direct TV and had a package with cable & phone/internet with Verizon. A few months ago, we decided to cancel our home landline because it was like $60/month and we rarely used it. I can't tell you how hard it was to cancel! I had to call about 4 separate times to cancel because they never shut it off. THen they shut it off and turned off the internet too...despite my many confirmations that they would only shut the phone. I'm frustrated with them and don't feel like dealing with them again. We still have Direct TV, and aare very happy with it, so we're just looking for an internet provider...
any suggestiongs??

look into internet service from Direct TV
DirectTV
I have Time Warner for both TV and internet, but kept Verizon for my land line. I only pay about $42 per month for the land line, and that's because I have international service added.

thanks, but in our area, the internet service "provided" by Direct TV is Verizon. I would rather check out some other options.

DTV for tv
Cablevision for Internet with the boost service for extra speed
No home phone - we have 800 minutes a month on cell to use up

We have same as you used to, without a land line. TV is Directv and internet is Verizon.
