Anyone have their house cleaned prior to move in?

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the third question in as many days but with the closing getting closer, lots of things are coming to mind.

Has anyone had their house cleaned by someone prior to moving in? If so, who did you use and how much did it cost you?

I'm 5 months pregnant so I don't really think I could do it, or at least do it well. The floors need to be cleaned, inside of windows, inside closets and cabinets, and i guess the top edges of the walls to get rid of any dust and/or cobwebs maybe.

When my parents moved to their house, they found it spotless and with a bottle of champagne in the fridge with a note and a big red bow. I don't think that will happen to us as I get the feeling the seller doesn't like us.

TIA.

. yes I had someone clean my house after I sold it but I don't recall the price... These guys did everything from touching up the paint to removing all appliances to clean the floors behind them...

i might do that depending on the condition of the house....if the house was immaculate when i saw it i would assume that it would still be pretty tidy after the sellers left......but if the cleanliness was questionable to start i would only assume it would be even worse when they left Chat Icon

i think its a good idea, especially since you are pregnant - let someone else take care of it -one less thing you have to worry about
