I have to have a sono done by a high risk doctor a few days after my Level 2 because of my low lying placenta.
Just wondering if anyone else has had to do this as well!

My doctor happens to send me out to a perinatologist for all the "special" tests because they have better equipment than he does...that being said I had a "low lying placenta" that was identified with my first child at my 20 week (Level II). They had me do a follow up at 24 weeks that confirmed that it had moved. Why can't they check your placenta at the level II?

Well, my dr's office does all of the sono's in their office, so maybe its because they have better equipment? I forgot to ask. lol.

Crashing. I had low placenta as well and had to go to a high risk Dr at Stony Brook. I'm pretty sure it's bc the equipment is more elaborate.
