Anyone have Wondows Vista? I need help!
I have only have my Gateway running for two months and it crashed. I can not find the Vista serial number anywhere and now it says that my Starter version is expiring today. Is there any other way I can do it without having to pay for vista again?

Did you check the books and the other media that came with the laptop? Look for a sticker on the bottom of the laptop? If none of those work out, I'd call Gateway, maybe they have record of it, since you purchased it thru them.

There usually is a tag on the laptop with the windows serial. If not I would see if you could call up gateway or even microsoft. If you had previous registered your version of vista with them then they could have you in their database and give you the serial after verifying a few things. If not then you would have to try and crack the os. I just researched it and it seems to be pretty in depth. Try those two avenues first then let us know your results.

Thank you! It's actually a desk top... I hate Microsoft! ugh-they are no help. I have to call Gateway before I lose everythng today... Keep you posted!

Ugh! I hate WIndows Vista! I had to reinstall the whole thing, I hope I got all of the kids pictures off there...
