Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
It's horrible but the moment I read this story I just feel that the parents are covering something up and are involved in her disappearance or worse.
The entire story makes no sense at all. The position of the open window with no screen would mean someone had to get into the house, walk all the way down a hallway, go into the baby's room, take the baby, walk back down a hall and either out the window or the front door; oh and stop and steal 3 cell phones in the process.
I hope I'm wrong, but the fact that the parents stopped cooperating today says to me something is rotten and I do not think this story will have a positive outcome.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
I didn't want to blame the parents, I really, truly didn't.
This story is just getting more and more twisted and confusing.
How can you just stop talking to authorities? Uuuggh my heart is breaking for that little girl. That pic in the article really gets me (with her standing at the front door)
so hard that she is found unharmed, found soon, and I'm hoping I'm 100% wrong for even *thinking* it's the parents.

This has no relevance but I cant believe the baby at 11 months old is 30 lbs! My DS will be 10 months next week and he is huge at 23 lbs.

That picture of the baby at the door makes the baby look much older than 10 months to me. I noticed today they blurred out the faces of the other children standing next to her. Does anyone know if those are their children too?

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
Ugh, how sad. I just tuned into this today on the news. Matt Lauer was interviewing the parents & the Mom said she volunteered to take a lie detector test & she failed. I really hope they weren't involved & that this baby girl is found safe & sound but this thing is beginning to sound really sketchy.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
Ugh. I didn't have a good feeling when I saw them pleading for their daughter. There was something that seemed disengenious about the tears. I hope I am wrong. I hope they find the child soon and alive and unharmed.
ETA: Another thing to add. I was watching the local news here in MA and they said something I hadn't thought of. I know that the days of people having landlines are dwindling. There was a comment made that the 3 cell phones were taken so they couldn't call police. How would this person know that they didn't have a landline? Just seems a little suspect to me.

Hmmm, I just watched that video and according to family, they ARE cooperating. I can imagine the police are being really brazen with them, accusing them etc. , so who knows. It says they will be on a major news network....maybe on HLN tonight, we'll see.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
This story reminds me of that girl Hayley in FL who they never found. The father was also at work until 4am and found their child missing when they came home and the mother (or step-mother in the other story) didn't know a thing.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
Did anyone catch them on the news this morning. The mother only sobbing when they brought up that she failed the lie detector test and the father just sitting there, hardly any words, no tears. If my baby was gone, i'd be crying bloody murder!

I was watching this also. And you're right according to them and their families they are cooperating. The husband basically said "I can't do this anymore" and asked for a break. The cops took this as not cooperating. It's being reported that maybe the cops are doing this to play the parents against each other.
I have to say something about the father doesn't seem right to me. I have not seen him shed a tear yet and he barely speaks to the camera, he just stares off with no emotion.
Who knows. I just that little girl is safe and is returned soon.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
I too pray that I am wrong about the parents but I think the dad is acting really really strange...very emotionless and the moms tears seem conjured to me. I just think that if god forbid one of my children were missing, I would be hysterical and in a blind panic and I know DH would be the same. I keep thinking of Madeleine McCann too and how the parents were accused so maybe they are innocent but I have a bad feeling.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
i have to agree that something seemed really off with them this morning on the today show. my feeling is the mom did something and is putting on the show. Images of Susan Smith and her plea to bring her children back kept flashing in my mind. I think the dad really is not involved in anything, but he seems very weird. Sad situation...I really hope this eautiful baby is alive

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
As soon as I heard this yesterday I thought something was up from the get go and now, sadly, I am even more convinced.
The thing that makes me upset, if it is a parental involvment thing, is it makes missing kid stories less believeable. Ya know, like if somebody REALLY does have a missing child instead of focusing on it you are flooded with what if it's the parents thoughts. It's just sick. I remember hearing about Elizabeth Smart as a kid and I have NEVER slept with my windows open since. It was just to scary and I always make sure our house is closed up and locked at night. I just could never live with myself if this happened and I could have prevented it. It's such a sad sad day and age when you can't leave a window open for fear of saftey anymore, and even sadder when the people who are supposed to protect you may have harmed you. If they did do something to this child I hoep and pray they and shot and killed. SOrry, but I have no tolorence for shitt like this, and I believe ALL parents invloved in this crap should die. Harsh, but my opinion.

ITA. I don't even think I could do an interview. I would probably he hyperventilating and my dh would be threatening to find whoever did it. We would never be that calm.

Re: Anyone hear about the 10 month old baby girl missing...
The thing that seems the strangest of all to me is the fact that they are not cooperating with the police. The tears or lack of them, I don't know. Some people just don't react immediately when something horrible happens. I am like that myself. If my son was missing, I don't know whether I would cry right away or not. In public, maybe I wouldn't, maybe I would. Some people put their children to bed in shorts, esp. if it's warmer where they live than here, doesn't seem odd. This doesn't bother me.
But you can bet I would bend over backwards to help the police however I could. They would probably need to shoo me out of the station, I would be camped out there or on the phone constantly with them. Or I'd have my husband there all the time if I was home. Any minute detail that might connect to the baby's disappearance, they would hear. So this part I don't understand, and this is what I find suspicious.

Ugh, now that they stop cooperating, I am almost certain that some sort of "accident" happened and the baby has passed. These stories just ruin my mood.

ITA with you. I would be the police's biggest nightmare as I would be calling them every 2 seconds, finding out where they are looking for her, going with them, etc. I don't know if I would go on the TV as much though and maybe have a spokesperson to do that for me. Again, I am not going through this also so I couldn't tell but I do know that I couldn't just sit around and wait for someone to find my child.

2 things I thought were weird here:
baby last seen at 10:30 PM when her Mother put her to bed...sort of late IMO?Although I guess she coul dhave woken and was being soothed back to sleep.
Baby last seen in shorts and a t-shirt? Why no PJ's?
at 10m AJ went to bed closer to 11pm and I never bothered with PJs and still only use shirts and shorts.. comfy just sayin... haha
Hope they find her

This has no relevance but I cant believe the baby at 11 months old is 30 lbs! My DS will be 10 months next week and he is huge at 23 lbs.

I thought the poster said she was born Nov 2010
