Anyone interested in a photo journal thread?
My WW leader suggested that we keep a photo journal over the next 12 months, taking a picture one a month so that we could see our progress. I do not have much further to go, but I decided to go back in time to find pictures at my heaviest down to my lowest. As hard as this is for me to post, I am going to do it- anyone car to join?
I am working on getting my pictures together now . . . .

Re: Anyone interested in a photo journal thread?
I would do that for my own sense of accomplishment, but I don't think I would post them on here until I looked like a goddess again

I remember your E Party at TP when you posted on LIW!!!!! I can't believe that was 3 years ago!!!
You look great!!! Keep up the good work.
Do you exercise also? Eating right is the key (that is what I am working on too) but exercise and eating right is the most effective way.

Re: Anyone interested in a photo journal thread?
Bri - you look awesome!!
Let me ask you - I notice that it took a year to lose those 26 pounds. I know that is about 1/2 lb per week for a year. Did you find that at all discouraging? This seems to be where i am at - 1/2 lb per week and I find it gets frustrating.
What did you do to stay motivated. I just don't want to get to the point where I am fed up...........so any tips would be great!!

Thank you so much!
I have been a yo-yo dieter for as long as I can remember. I finally came to a point where I couldn't lose weight at all (this was at a time where I was on meds that encouraged my weight issue and issues with food) so when I joined WW, I had very small expectations. I knew I was tired of going from one extreme to the next. I resigned myself to being happy with the scale either staying the same or going down ANY amount.
The patience I have had has lead to my overall success. There were times that I got frustrated, but I told myself that by following WW I was still on a path to success, even if it was slow. I knew I would end up thinner. I came to the realization that if I gave up, I would just end up going backward and I would never reach my goal.
This realization and attending meetings/facing the scale and the weigher each week is what kept me motivated.
Good Luck and be patient, because with that, you will reach your goal!

Thanks! I will be honest in saying the only reason I was able to post the past is because I have reached a point where I feel good about my weight. Otherwise, I don't think I would be brave enough to post either!
But do remember that we are not here to judge one another- we have all been or are in the same shoes.

Wonderful pictures!! You guys are so beautiful!
I don't have any pictures from when I was at my target weight. I was in such a bad place at that time. I looked great - but I didn't feel great - you know?
This is me in 2001. Kevin and I had been dating almost a year and I was about 25lbs less than I am now.
IMAGE
This is me at a pretty healthy weight in 2002 (without getting into specifics it's about 35lbs from right now) You can't see much of what my body looks like but you can tell in my face (and I know the size of the clothes I'm wearing):
IMAGE
This is from 2 months before my wedding. About 10lbs less than what I am now.
IMAGE
Wedding day - about 17lbs to go to get back to that weight:
IMAGE
On my honeymoon - I think I had put on 5lbs THAT DAY!!
IMAGE
Out Anniversary - I'm down a couple of lbs since then (not a very flattering picture - I'd like to say it's the jacket - but you can see it in my face):
IMAGE
Where I am now - most recent picture from right before Christmas - I may actually be down a few pounds - I had been blowing off Weight Watchers at this point:
IMAGE
I can't see your pictures! I am not sure if you took them down or if it is my work computer that is not allowing me to see . . .

Re: Anyone interested in a photo journal thread?
Wowzers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bri you look SO hot girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone else too, you are all so beautiful You have come SUCH a long way and are such an inspiration. It really hits home to see your pictures (i.e. I should've started when it was just 10 lbs). I feel the same way but I do believe that you have to go through certain things in life in order to be who you are today.
My pictures are just plain embaressing . I HAD lost 100 lbs about about 3 years ago. I've currently gained like 40 of those lbs back. I will post my old "before" and my "after" but I have to go home to post a current pic now. I'll do it though I have no shame
I have to preface these pictures though by saying this. I have had problems being overweight ALL my life. I decided to change when my friend asked me to be in her bridal party. I was mortified of how I would look in her pictures, so that day I began. I didn't lose any weight for the wedding, once I had lost the 100 it was very hard for me to stay on track. I never did get to my goal weight. Like I said before, I feel like you have to go through certain things in order for other things to happen. Letting myself gain that much weight after the wedding, reminding myself of how it felt to be that way - I feel like no matter what I will not do this to myself again. And hopefully maybe this time, I can get where I always wanted to be
BEFORE around 2001
AFTER (but not really) 2004/2005
NOW (up 40 lbs - to be updated )

Re: Anyone interested in a photo journal thread?
Azad,
You're such a pretty girl! You must feel such an accomplishment - 100 pounds is very inspirational! I cannot see some of the pictures. I'm certain that they aren't as bad as you think they are.
Isn't it funny how we see ourselves and how others see us?
Picture yourself sitting on a couch with two other people. Now descibe each person sitting on the couch.
Don't you find that you're always hardest on yourself?
Anyway, I think this is a great idea. It really keeps you honest, doesn't it!
It will be so satisfying for all of us to see our progress as we go along.
Great idea!
ETA: I just saw all the pictures and I have to tell you what a beautiful woman you are. You should be so proud of yourself everyday. Not just for losing the weight you did, but for being the person you are. You're right, everything we go through makes us who we are.

Re: Anyone interested in a photo journal thread?
Ladies, to address all of you, you all should be so proud of yourself. You are all beautiful!! I have struggled too, only I don't have a picture of my heaviest weight because I never let anyone near me with a camera! I had lost 90 lb. before two back surgeries over the last two years. From recovery until now, I have gained 40-45 lb. I am disgusted with myself but looking at all your pics, I really think I will go back to WW! Keep up the good work girls and thanks for inspiring me!
