Anyone know a doctor specializing in burns?
Dh got pretty bad burns on his hands on 2 days ago. He went to the emergency room and was treated and got instructions on how to bandage and treat the wounds. All of it happened in TX. Now we are in NY and he needs to follow up with a specialist and I am not even sure who to go to. Anyone has any ideas?

bear in mind that we're in NJ..my son had some bad burns last fall and went to the ER for cleaning and bandaging and were instructed to go to the burn center at another hospital. Call your local hospital and ask where the nearest burn center is and try there.

NUMC and Stonybrook are supposed to have good burn units.
I've never used them myself, though, so I can't offer a personal recommendation.
Best of luck and hope your DH heals quickly.

Stonybrook has an excellent burns unit. A friend spent three months there many years ago after a terrible accident and he sings their praises all the time.
