Anyone know if Invisalign can help bring spaces together?
I had braces years ago. Well, nobody told me the importance of wearing my retainer, so my teeth have separated. For Christmas I am hoping to have my teeth fixed. My bottom teeth are perfect...it's my top that are a problem...they are spacy, not really crooked. Is Invisalign a good option for me or is there something else I should consider?

what about maybe just getting another retainer?
I had a perment one put on my botton teeth- but then I took it out b/c my dentist was complaining about plaque (my teeth moved alittle after- but not enough to bother me)
I will call your old orthododist and see what they say

How far apart are the spaces? I had some spacing on top between my teeth and my dentist used bonding to close the spaces.

well, I was told a long time ago they retainers only "retain"...they can't bring my teeth back to how they were. I don't have an orthodonist in the area yet (I'm in NJ)...

Retainers won't lessen the space. I had the same problem, and went before my wedding...Invisalign was not an option for me because the teeth had shifted too much. I had to get braces again, and now have a permanent retainer. I had to wear braces again for a year this time.

I have one bad one on the side and some little ones throughout....didn't think about bonding, maybe that could be an option for me...approx how much is it per tooth?

hmm... that maybe invislign is the best thing- better then real braces

Yes.....I also had this happen to me.
I ended getting an inside retainer for a few yrs.
Then I had that taken off, moved again.
A retainer is what bought them together again.

I had braces when I was younger, and like you, I didn't wear my retainer as much as I should (ok, barely at all).
I got Invisalign before my wedding 2 years ago. They worked great. I know a few people who have used Invisalign and have loved it as well.
It's definitely worth a consult with an orthodontist.

I consulted with my dentist about invisalign to close my gap and I was a candidate for it. My teeth are all straight, but I inherited this from my Dad and although most people find it "cute" I HATE IT!!!
I also saw before/after pics of women w/bigger gaps than mine and the results were amazing!!!!
I still want to do it...

You can get a free consult...the dr can decide.
I had 2 free consults for crowding of bottom teeth (not spaces).
Only during the consult can they tell you for sure.
