Anyone know where I can get an 8ft unfinished wood mantel??
Without having to spend a ton of money??
I looked in home depot and lowes so far...and of course Im googling it now.

I'm planning on building my own mantel in the new livingroom. I'm just going to get a plank for the top, then some molding for the sides and build it up until it looks the way I want.

Check out Gothic Crafts and cabinents. The have a lot of unfinished stuff, or they will build to specs. Their prices have always seemed reasonable to me
