For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
when you triggered?
I only looked at my labs from yesterday for a second, but my E2 was 199 and LH was only 6.7, i think (that was with follies that were 15.5, 15, 13, and a bunch of 9 and smaller ones).
Today, i had follies that were 17.5, 17 and 13. I'm on CD14 and based on the follie size i would trigger soon, but how quickly does the LH goes up? Do you know what it needs to be in order to trigger? I don't think i ovulate (i know i definitely didn't ovulate last month based on the b/w), so would that keep the LH from even rising?
I'm sorry for all of the questions, i'm just trying to understand all of this stuff.

Re: For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
Just to add some background info:
This month, i took Clomid 50mg cd5-9, had an hsg on cd9 that was clear, and have the prescription for Ovidrel to trigger with, and then we'll have the IUI.

Re: For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
I think the LH should be more than 20 for a surge. Once the surge is detected, 36 hours or so to ovulation. When I was on clomid, I remember triggering when the follies were 18-20mm. I only had 1-2 follies with each clomid cycle. You seem to have quite a good amount.

Re: For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
I read about the lh surge being 20, but am trying to find about how long it takes to go from where i am now (6.7) to the surge. I haven't had any luck finding how long that would take or how often it increases.
I was also wondering what the average amount of follies are that people have on clomid, and if mine were high or low?
Thank you for your response :)

Re: For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
My E2 was over 1000 when I triggered, but I was doing an IVF cycle.
I don't think there's any real answer to how many days it should take to get to your surge. After CD3, they are looking only at your E2 and Progesterone levels, and base your trigger on those numbers. Everyone's bodies are different. When I was doing clomid rounds, I generally wouldn't trigger until CD21 or even 22. Also, again, everyone is different as to how many follies they produce on Clomid. Clomid doesn't always make someone produce more than 1 follie. With the exception of my last Clomid cycle last December, I only ever produced 1 mature follie. In December I produced 4, but they had me on a mega dose of Clomid that cycle.

Re: For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
Hi, My RE doesn't do LH and FSH after Day 3, only E2 and P. My understanding is that the E2 plus #/size of follies are the indicators as to when to trigger and that you don't need a natural LH surge, b/c the trigger will do the surging for you. HTH, good luck!! :) Oh, and my last E2 was 697 with 3 mature (21, 24, 24) follies when I triggered.

I was hoping to hear that. I thought that i probably wouldn't surge on my own since that seems to be the issue, but when they said my labs had to be at the right level, i got scared that my LF might never make it there. Thank you for clearing that up for me!!!

Yeah, I don't O on my own either! I mean I don't even get a faint second line on OPK's!! Just blank!!
But seriously, I think the E2 is the big number they look at. You should ask them next time though b/c I am learning that every RE has their own protocol and I wouldn;t want to give you false info!!

Re: For those that trigger, do you know what your LH and E2 levels were
My RE only looks at E2 also.
Yesterday mine was 354 (up from 92 on Friday) and my RE said I should have the IUI between Friday and Monday - so I guess I would trigger 36 hours before the IUI... not sure if that helps!
I go back on Wednesday and I could let you know my E2 if they end up telling us to trigger that night.
