Anyone leave for work before DC wakes up in the am?

Last year I woke her up before I left, would get her dressed and ready and then would hand her off to DH and get going for work.

This year, I wanted to get to work early and not worry about her freaking about me leaving so the two days of work last week I left without waking her and it worked out really well too.

I don;t know what to do, because I know it is hard for her to wake up that early as it is, but it is really only about 20-30 mins more sleep if DH wakes her.

I'm just wondering if it is selfish to wake her up just to see her?

What do other early-riser moms do?

I let DS sleep. I leave my house at 6am and dont come home until 8:30-9pm (2-3x's a week). He is also asleep when I get home. I miss him so much but dont want to wake him up.

More often than not DS will wake up at some point while I'm getting ready. If he doesn't (and DH is home) I let him sleep.

i let DD sleep...she basically wakes up the second i leave for her bottle but goes back to sleep.

im considering waking her up to give her the bottle so my DH can sleep but dunno if i should wake her.

If DS is sleeping, I don't wake him.

Let him sleep, but usually my shower or hair dryer wakes him up.

I leave way to early to wake them up.

I let her sleep and I leave before she wakes up.
Which is breaking my heart because tomorrow is her first day of school and I'm going to miss it.

I always used to leave w/out waking them up. Now that I have a 7month old that's still BF; I do wake her unless I am running late.

I always have. My older one started waking up while I was getting ready at the end of last school year and it made it even harder to leave for work. So far Tues and Wed they were both still sleeping when I left.

I let her sleep and I leave before she wakes up.

I let both of mine sleep.

I'm out the door at 6:20, and they usually aren't up for at least another hour.

It always makes me less likely to stay late so I can get home to see them

I have always let DS sleep. I leave my house by 6:15 am and DS usually sleeps until 7 am. DH always takes him to day care on days that he goes so he gets him up and dressed but they have a little time in the morning (DH doesn't drop DS off until about 1015 am). Some days DH is home with DS.

But since last Sept, DS is sleeping when I go to work. I get up in the moring with him on weekends and during the summer. It works for us!

I let them sleep. I leave my house at 520am. DH would KILL me if I woke them up.

During the summer, I leave before anyone in the house is up. During school, I do wake DW up just before I leave, but I almost never see DC. Their sleep is more important than me saying goodbye to them.

Before DH went back to work I would let my DS sleep.

Now that we both leave at 6:20am...I try not to wake DS up as I'm putting him in the car seat, but he usually wakes up.

On the day that DH has off and I work - I let her sleep. I just go in a kiss her goodbye. If she wakes before I leave, I will talk to her for a few minutes, then put her in bed with daddy.

i let them sleep. I go into work early so i can have more time with them afternoon. If they're up before i leave i play alittle. but that's rare. Other than that i call in the am to say good morning.

I have the opposite situation...he's asleep most days by the time I get home. I too used to wake him to feed him 1 more bottle and get to hold him a little more, but now I just let him sleep because he got so cranky being woken up and it didn't seem fair to him. I would just let her sleep.

I let DS sleep if I don't take him to daycare. As much as I want to see him it's just easier in the morning to get myself ready and get to work.

On days I take him to daycare I get up extra early to get myself ready first then wake up Mason. Either days work fine for me, but if I don't have to take him to daycare then I'd rather him get the extra sleep and get up on his own

Sometimes DD is still sleeping when I leave and I let her sleep.

i have to leave by 8:20 and i always have to wake him. I wait until 8:15, wipe him down with a wash cloth, throw clothes on him while his eyes are still closed, and walk out to the car with his head on my shoulder. he gets a cup of milk in the car, and breakfast when he gets to the sitter at 9ish.

i HATE waking him up
