Anyone living in a small one bedroom apartment?
We have a one bedroom apartment, with a small desk area/nook that we will be converting to the "nursery". It is small, open and kind of lame to be honest. We can't afford and just don't plan on moving at this point. We have a lease until the baby will be about 1. We figured we could make it work for a year, but now I am kind of worried about it. Did you make it work? How? Share here, please!

Just remember, a baby doesnt need much. Are you able to fit a crib and maybe a dresser in there? I would think thats all you really need yknow?

Re: Anyone living in a small one bedroom apartment?
DH and I are . . . It's perfect for the 2 of us but I really don't want to squeeze in a LO. We actually started shopping for a home which DH is a little nervous about bc we're planning on me not working for about a year. Surprisingly we made an offer this afternoon, definitely not our dream home but it's more space in a neighborhood we want and in move in condition. Keeping our fingers crossed. You seem to have more space than us though . . . .

We lived in a one bedroom apartment up until our son was 1.5. It's not a big deal at all.

Re: Anyone living in a small one bedroom apartment?
We lived in a pretty small one bedroom with ds for three or four months, it was a little tight but we made it work. In our bedroom we had a crib, two dressers, a queen size bed, and a baby swing all in one room and it was tiny. Now we rent a three bedroom house and our ds at 15 months still sleeps in a playpen in our room or in the bed with us sometimes. He has his own room and I still can't part with him. There's no rush!

Re: Anyone living in a small one bedroom apartment?
When we had DD we were in a one bedroom. It wasn't small, but we also did a lot to make the space work for us.
For example, we removed our dresser from our bedroom and built shelves in our closet to store the clothes that were in the dresser. We put the crib where the dresser was, so we didn't feel like we lost space. We put our glider in the corner of our bedroom in space that was not being used. We had leaning bookcases in our room, so I got rid of the trinkets we had there and used them for kids books. I put baskets in our night tables and stored diapers and wipes there so we could just use the bed as a changing station. In the living room we made the area behind the chaise of our sectional as our 'daycare' area and put all her toys back there. We bought the city mini stroller b/c it folds so compact and stored it in our entryway closet.
I just made more efficient use of our space, and made sure to donate things were didn't need. I actually don't mind not having a ton of space b/c it keeps me from accumulating a lot of stuff that I don't need.
We moved to a 2 bed just after she turned a year old. At that point she was mobile and we wanted her to have more space and sleep in her own room.
