Anyone look at this house?

Seaford

I checked it out today.

Cons:
Busy Street
Small Living room
Low ceiling in Basement

Pros:
Huge Property 40X200 - The back yard was deep.

Kitchen - Granite counters, stainless appliances, and mahogany cabinets
Hardwood Floors
New appliances
Totally updated inside and out
3 Full Bathrooms
Den
Laundry Room
Master Bedroom Suite - With fullbathroom and tub, Huge walk in closet and second closet.

If you dont mind the bust street - This was a really nice house.

who knows if they just fixed it cosmetically....thats the problem with "renovated" houses - id rather buy a cheaper fixer and do it myself so i know the work is done right.

Re: Anyone look at this house?

Thats why you have an engineer look at the house before you purchase it.

hey even replaced the boiler, put in gas heat, and replaced the oil tank - It was above ground in the basement

an engineer can't catch everything - they dont have xray vision to look behind walls

Re: Anyone look at this house?

This house was vacant and boarded up for a long time.... I used to live right near it.... then someone came along and did somework and it was up as for sale by owner for awhile...I don't think anyone has lived in the house for 2 or more years....

Re: Anyone look at this house?

Yeah the house is empty - It is a flip - no sure when the work was done on it, but it was completely redone inside and out.....Including plumbing, heating, oil tank, boiler, gas, roof, windows etc....

Its a shame that the house was abandoned, but it is really nice now. Also on saturday when it was really windy, I was in the house and there were no drafts at all....

It was a good day to look at it.

My friend doesnt want the house though....The busy street kills it.

Yeah I dont know something is fishy with that house, we have been in seaford for 2 years now and that house was for sale before that, its changed owners many times. Personally I think they hid alot of structural damage.

Re: Anyone look at this house?

I looks nice and a good buy but I get nervous with a busy street, especially with kids. It's just my thing but thanks for the heads up.
