Do you have safe access to the Dish itself? If so, you'll probably just need to clean the snow off the dish and the LNB and your programming should return.
If you don't have access, then you'll just have to wait till the snow clears off on its own.

I know of 2 houses that Direct TV is not working at right now. It's probably the atmosphere and not a "snow on the dish" problem.

that happened to us with directv. My DH went up in the attic and banged on the roof to knock some of the snow off and it worked!!

As far as I know, we never lost the signal for even a minute. We're recording stuff all day long.

Bah i'm screwed. The dish is on our roof (sloped) and DH is in bed asleep already. BUGGER!!!!

Actually, it did go out around 5:30 or so. I guess we're stuck with watching the hundred plus hours of shows we have on our DVR....
