Anyone PG with a thyroid problem?
A friend of mine who is about 10 weeks PG also has a thyroid problem. Now for a couple of months her levels went down and they gave her this open window opportunity to conceive. Which she has...
Now her thyroid levels are a little up and the doctor has given her medication she can take. She is a little worried about this.
So that's why I wanted to know if anyone have been PG or are PG with a thyroid problem so I can give her some feedback. This is the same friend I posted about 2 weeks ago that was concerned about her spotting which she hasn't seen anymore blood by the way...

Re: Anyone PG with a thyroid problem?
I have had a thryoid problem for 7 years and have been on synthroid. I am 25 1/2 weeks preggo and the only thing my Dr did was increase my medication. I just need to go for blood tests often so that my numbers are regulated. My Dr told me that after the 28 week mark is when my thryoid numbers might be going up & down so he wanted to start regulating them now.

Re: Anyone PG with a thyroid problem?
I had my thyroid removed a few years ago. I haven't heard of this window of opportunity either
I am on synthroid and have had my dose increased since I became PG. I go for bloodwork every 6-8 weeks to make sure my levels are stable. Other than that, there are no real complications.
My Dr. told me that I will probably be on the same dose I am now throughout the rest of my pregnancy. She also told me that the day I give brith, I go right back to my old dose before I got PG.
