anyone take DHEA?

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced any side effects.

This is funny! I started taking it this week too. I have heard that a side effect is your hair falling out and I have noticed a few more hairs on my clothes, but that could be my imagination.

I may stop taking it because I was reading an instruction book from my RE clinic this morning and they strongly advise against any herbs or non-prescribed meds.

If you are taking DHEA you should get permission from your RE.

I took it for 3 months before my last cycle (#4). I went from having 3 egg retrieved to having 15. Yes I said 15. And I was 41 at the time.

After transferring 5 emby's (which was more than my previous 3 IVF cycles combined), my cycle didn't work, but I will say I had the best chance possible because of DHEA. I think if I had any good eggs it would have helped me find it.

I took 75mg, in 25mg doses 3x a day. My face broke out a little too. And my hair was so strong, think from prenatal vitamins (cause I'm back on them and my hair is good again).

I was scared to take it at first, but I knew I would not be on them long-term. And I know it made a difference. More than just changing my protocol.

Is that the same as DHA? I have been taking them the last month and never thought to mention it to the RE!!!!!
