Re: Anyone try CBD oil?
Yes, CBD oil doesn’t treat autism from what I’ve read. The first cannabis mediciation was just FDA approved to treat severe seizure disorder in children.
I take CBD oil. It is in liquid form so I mix it into a bit of water and drink. I have found it has improved my skin a lot.
There is absolutely NO psychotropic effect. It is nothing like smoking marijuana.

So no side effects at all? How has it improved your skin? Texture, anti aging, acne? Do you take it everyday?

Haha ... I have been looking into it for my son with autism I hear about charlottes web - by the way it’s available in pharmacies in Ny now Also a couple of others I am now trying homeopathy... still now nothing ... will give it another 2 months.. Then thinking of trying this
There is no evidence it has any effect on Autism. What are you looking to change by using homeopathy or the CBD oil? Currently, in the medica world only Risperadol Is the only known medication o have a slight effect on behaviors related to Autism. Other the. That there’s no proof charlottes web is effective. What it was effective is a seizure disorder and these claims it helps with autism are false. The person initially claiming this was diagnosed with autism and a seizure disorder which is very common and it addressed the underlying medical diagnosis, not the autism. Any reports are strictly anecdotal. I work in the field of behavior analysis and do research in autism. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out
I have considered CBD for my son as well. He is also on the spectrum. But I was not thinking about it for the autism part, so much as the concurrent conditions, anxiety, ADHD, aggression. Something to take the edge off for him. I started using it for myself.

Re: Anyone try CBD oil?
So I finally took the plunge and orderd the Sunday Scaries CBD gummies. My anxiety has been annoying lately and I woke up at 4 am this morning with my mind and heart racing, then the whole morning at work I have been on edge. God knows why. I finally decided to try it. I like the reviews on this particular type- and they are 3rd party lab tested , made and sourced in the USA- so I felt safer.
I'll let you all know how they are!

Yeah no side effects at all for me.
It has improved my skin texture and mild acne. When I take it for a few days, my skin feels softer and smoother. Pimples heal much quicker and don’t swell as much as usual.
I forgot to say also that my eczema is much improved on CBD too.
Have you tried it yet?

Ordered it and it should be here Monday. I hear it has anti inflammatory properties so I guess that explains the acne healing faster and the eczema improvement. You take it every day or no?

Re: Anyone try CBD oil?
OK so my gummies arrived yesterday and I took one after dinner. It says you can take anywhere from 1-3 gummies. They are 10 mg each I believe.
I took the one since it was my first time and I don't know- I guess I felt a little more chilled out, but it's hard to tell if it was just all in my head, kwim.
But the weirdest thing ever was, I took it around 9 pm, went to bed around 11 pm and was woken up at 2 am with the most RAGING heartburn ever. I had to sit up to relieve it a bit, and finally went to take some antacids because it was killing me.
I am not sure if it's related. I mean, wouldn't the heartburn have started soon after taking it rather than HOURS later? I checked the ingredients to see if there was anything in them like a carrier oil that might cause heartburn. But only coconut oil was listed. Not much online either about it causing heartburn- other than a random person or 2- so it could have been a coincidence. I just rarely get heartburn so I found it odd. Even now, I still feel slight indigestion . I'll give them another shot and see.

Re: Anyone try CBD oil?
That’s really odd about the heartburn. I never had that experience but mine is in liquid form. I take 5 mg usually once but sometimes twice a day.
I would try taking it in the morning and see.

That is what i was thinking. I did find one person on an online forum who said they got heartburn from certain brands when they took it at night. I can't imagine why though. Some say they contain peppermint oil, and that is a HUGE heartburn trigger for me- but mine just said coconut oil. Maybe it was a coincidence.

Anyone try CBD oil?
I’ve been taking it in oil form as I read it lessens migraines. So far, so good. And I also noticed I have been sleeping thru the night, which I never do. So I do think it also helped with my anxiety.

Re: Anyone try CBD oil?
OK so I checked and my gummies are 10 mg each. I was thinking maybe that was too much at once and I cut it in half next times. No heartburn. But I also took a zantac an hour before just in case so who knows.
this morning I woke up with a bit of a hang over after a work event in nyc last night. My heart was racing, as it often does after a night of drinking, and I felt anxiety and kind of nauseated. I remember seeing in the ads for these gummies that they are supposed to help hangovers. So I took half a gummy and within an hour my hangover was gone. Like I don't even feel like I drank last night. This could be epic!
Edited to add... I do feel much calmer at work today than usual too

Awesome! I really think this stuff is legit. I forgot to add I also have a hemp balm which I rub on my sore muscles, and it works amazingly well.

My son is on the spectrum, and it has helped tremendously for his anxiety. We give him the liquid by mouth. Be careful which ones you take, make sure they are reputable brands.

Yes I did a lot of research. It seems you want brands that use Hemp grown in the US- where the standards are stricter. You also want to look for 3rd party lab testing- to make sure all the THC is removed. And of course you don't want any kind of synthetic CBD

ok, so my DH has bulging disc in his back and suffers from lower back pain all the time. He just got a roll on oil, and he said within a half hour he had no pain. He woke up this morning pain free.

Tried it I tried it twice...first time to sleep/relax and it kept me up all night When i finally fell asleep I did sleep pretty well so I’m on the fence if I will try again (I swallowed it) Second time I rubbed it on my thigh where I have some pain and it burned like hell! My DH said it’s “working” but it hurt badly that I jumped in the shower to get it off

Re: Anyone try CBD oil?
I have been using CBD oil regularly for a few months. I started with a topical salve last year for skin issues. I loved it so much I joined on to the company to sell it. So Im a distributor of it now. I use a few different products to aid with different things; Mainly sleep and mood issues.
There is a lot of legal issues surrounding the product so you have to make sure what you are buying is absolutely federally legal. Most of what is out there ISNT b/c it violates the farm bill.
Most of what is out there is garbage because they are not labeled properly, not extracted properly so you have added chemicals and such. I've had friends send me pics of stuff they bought on amazon that says its CBD and there is NO CBD in it; its just a flavored hemp oil extract.
I'd love to educate all of you on the benefits and how to know you have a truly legal product.
If your product says Hemp grown in the USA, then its not legal. In order for the product to be fully federally legal in all 50 states, the hemp must be imported from outside the US. The Farm Bill allows for hemp pilot programs in 30 states, so there are states with programs allowed to grow it. But it is for research purposes only. No products can be made commercially or marketed. There are states that have their own laws that allow hemp to be grown and products made BUT THEY CANNOT LEAVE THAT STATE.
CBD can be a very powerful product in your healthcare routine when using the right product.

yeah, thats an illegal product and not a very good one at that. They've been warned by the FDA numerous times for violating the FD&C act for making claims on their labels.
:(
You also need to try the product for a while. Depending on what the serving size was and how long you used it for would also play a role.

So why is it illegal to use hemp grown in the US? I have no idea what the "farm bill" is? And where should it be grown? I hope not China.
And if it's illegal... why aren't these companies shut down that are growing hemp in the US?

Hemp has been banned and demonized since the 1930's ..its still a schedule 1 drug classification of the DEA. Hemp is a type of Cannabis Sativa, and so is Marijuana. Different plants, same family. It is only able to be grown under these research pilot programs the farm bill set up in 2014, but not for commercial products. Hemp can be grown and imported in from China, Canada, Europe, Jamaica, etc. Just not in the US. Its ridiculous honestly.
the products I distribute for has hemp grown out of Austria, certified organic and grown w/o chemicals.
the problem is that the DEA isnt allowed to use federal funds to go after these companies (or thats how I understand the law to be). But States have rights and can and have shut down or arrested store owners, and confiscated products.

Ah! How interesting. I never knew any of this. The sad thing is, hemp is being found to help with SO many diseases and ailments. And it doesn't get you high. Why on earth doesn't the govt get with the times? Ridiculous is right! Because they allow it to be imported from other countries... so how bad can it be? Insane Meanwhile there is a heroin epidemic and they are worried about my fuking hemp oil.
