Anyone upgrade their electric?
We are looking into upgrading our electric supply and getting a new box and all new breakers. Anyone do this and have a ballpark as to how much it costs?

Well I just started getting some prices and to just update the service (box) is around $2000, if you have aluminum wiring the prices go up from there.

We did that and a lot more.
New box and yes, we had to replace the aluminum wiring plus many new fixtures, etc.
Boxes run about 2K

We upgraded to 300amps and got 2 new boxes. We paid $1300, but they gave us a discount b/c my father is old buddies with the owner of the company.

We upgraded about 3 years ago. From 100 amp to 200 amp and we paid $1400.

We paid like $1300 or $1400 and I highly recommend the company. We got a new box 200 service and a new mast. They have done a bunch of work for me If you want his info FM me.

We made it a condition of closing that they update the box in the house---our house that we bought had 60amps in it---yes I said 60 and they ran an inground swimming pool and 2 window air conditioners in the summer---don't know how they did it. The previous owners upgraded to 200amps and all the wiring on the outside was redone and it cost them $1600.

A pool and two ACs!!! Amazing!
The house we're looking at is 60 amp and they can't turn on much of anything, other than a couple of lights, with the dishwasher running.
