anyone use hormonal IUD like MIRENA ?

I am bf ing and I am on a pill, planing to wean her off soon so the ob/gyn is going to give me a regular bcp, but I always forget to take the pill everyday the same time so I am considering Hormonal IUD or copper IUD , I read up on them and seems like Hormonal IUD is something I would go with, b/c "Unlike the copper IUD, the hormonal IUD decreases the amount of menstrual blood flow and menstrual cramping. The major side effect of hormonal IUD use is abnormal vaginal bleeding" and that " The effectiveness rate for Mirena is 99.9 percent" if anyone is on hormonal IUD like Mirena please tell me how it's working for you, was it painful when they put it in? what side effects do you have? can you feel it ? or your partner feel it? have you had more infections b/c of it? I am so confused if you feel like it's too private please MF me, thank you

I have had it for about a month now (mirena). So far so good. some spotting but that's it. I can't feel it and it is nice not having to worry about the pill.
It did hurt when I first got it, like bad cramps. I just took some tynenol and it was fine.

I have Mirena and I think I am one of the few people who has had side effects. I am having it taken our next week, which stinks b/c its SO convenient.

Like the other girls said, its great, it cuts down on your period (i didn't have one for 6 months), no cramps, etc. My DH did feel the strings however but....

I keeled over about a month ago with a huge ovarian cyst and had to be hospitalized. It is a known side effect of the IUD . Most people won't feel them & they can go away on their own, BUT they can grow large & burst (as mine did). Not fun.... Not fun at all.

I have it. LOVE it. Working very well Not painful to insert at all, but I did have spotting for about a month after it was put in. After that, my periods were so light, then they eventually went away I have no side effects at all, maybe a pimple on my chin once a month You can't feel it or tell that its in, and DH has never complained that he could feel it either. No infections at all. Just the perfect BC for me. Did I mention I love it?
