Anyone use/using Reproductive Specialists of NY??

Is anyone using RS of NY?? My ob/gyn is sending me there to see Dr San Roman I believe and was hoping to hear from some gals that have used them. Having a lot of issues and need to see a specialist. Very nervous and hoping for some good news!!

I see Dr. Sung there. Dr. San Roman did my transfer on Sunday. He was very very nice. Completely put me at ease.

I am a patient there at the Stony Brook Office. I use Dr. Lydic, I really like him. He knows his stuff. He was rcommended to me by obgyn who said she had a lot of her patients who became pg with his help. He explains everything, he makes you feel like no question is to silly to ask. I like RSONY, the only thing I don't like is some of the office staff. Some of them can be a little rude and expect the patient to know everything. The nurses there are so wonderful, they really get to know the patients, and they are there with you every step of the way.

thanks....can you give me an idea of what they are going to do?? I am so scared and nervous. Apparently they think I have PCOS and have not had AF since May (at which point they think I had a miscarriage) but I have taken 2 rounds of provera to bring on period with no luck and a round of clomid in between to try to help bring on the period with the second round of provera. I am sooo sad and frustrated!! as is my ob/gyn he said if it didnt work this time he would have to send me to RS of NY. My follicles didnt even get bigger than 1mm :( and still no period! AAARRRGGGGG!!!!

Both of my Dc's were conceived there

DS was IUI #3 and DD IVF #2 ...I also have PCOS....You will be getting some bloodwork, probably be sent for an HSG to rule out blocked tubes, your DH will have a SA done if it hasn't been done or been a while most likely...Dr.Stelling was my main Dr. but I have seen them all ! Good luck !!!

I also go there. I agree that the office staff can be rude, but I find that common among all doctors offices. My main Dr. is Dr. Stelling, but I hardly ever see him. I like all of the other doctors and nurses, except for one, Dr. Halfen.
You will give about 20 vials of blood and have a HSG. My guess for treatment would be clomid and IUI. Good luck!

I go to their Mineola office. I like that their appointments are usually running on time, they take the time to answer questions, and the nurses are all very nice. The office seems to be very organized and efficient.
I see Dr. Saketos. She seems nice and knowledgable but I've only seen her 3 times since I started going there in May. If she is not available there is always a doctor available to consult with you if you would like to speak to them but you may have to wait to see them.

I was there for my last cycle with Dr. Stelling.... never saw the man!! The group was a little large for my tastes. While we really liked Stelling, we didn't mesh well with some of the other staff. Appointments were always on time and I always had my blood work call by 3pm which was wonderful. The facilities seem top notch, too. Good luck!!!

It's only natural to be nervous. I know I was... but just remember this: you need to focus on the end result!

I used RSNY, but went to the West Islip office primarily. My main docs were Dr. Stelling and Dr. San Roman. While I saw all the docs, I did see Dr. Stelling most of the time in West Islip.

They are miracle workers and I thank God for those gifted people every day. My miracle was born last week.

I go to the SB office. I am a patient of Dr Cain. So far the staff has been great (even at 7am!) All of the nurses seem to know me by name and always say hello. Whenever I have questions, they take the time to explain it all to me, which is great. I like the office a lot, it fits my needs and my schedule.

I went to Mineola and saw Dr. Trivax. He was great, and I got to see him a lot which I liked. He was even able to do both my fresh and frozen transfers (got my BFP on my frozen transfer). I highly recommend them. Good Luck!!

thank you sooo much everyone! I am counting down the days until I hopefully can get some much needed insight into what exactly is wrong with me :( Weds afternoon in SB office with Dr Stelling....can't wait!!!

thanks for the heads up. I actually wanted to see Dr San Roman but I had to wait longer to see him and I am about as impatient as they come so I chose Stelling who I had also heard very good things about. Do you know who the main Drs at the SB office are then by any chance??

I'm not totally sure, but I always ended up seeing either Cain or Halfen. Cain seemed very nice and on-top of things... can't say the same for Halfen. The nurses/front desk staff were always super nice so I'm sure they would help you pick a good dr based on your/their schedules. Oh- and I don't know if anyone's told you, but Stelling talks super fast. He's wonderful, but sometimes you have to slow him down... he knows this and is more than happy to go slowly and re-explain things.

i concieved ds with the help of rs in stonybrook. i used to see dr cain and dr stelling.
i felt very confortable with them and will be going there again when im ready for #2

Dr. San Roman was my main dr. at the SB office. I loved everyone there though, especially the nurses.
I saw Dr. Cain and Dr. Stelling a lot.

thanx!! I heard Dr San Roman is amazing and Stelling is great too. Only one I have heard bad things about is Cain. I guess we will see.

Thank you. So glad it worked for you!! personally at this point i dont care if the janitor has the lucky trigger finger as long as someone does!! lol I heard that she was very much less than warm and fuzzy. One would think that in her field you should be a bit compassionate I guess, but like I said I haven't met her personally so I suppose it would be unfair to judge her just yet. Appreciate all the input from all the girls...big help with my anxiety.
