Of course. I worry how bad things will be even for our own children. Everything that we do (or don't do) RIGHT NOW will affect future generations including our own children's futures. Even small measures can have a big impact so I try and do what I can to decrease my own carbon footprint. A few small changes now can prevent so much damage later.

What is even more unfortunate to me is how many people don't take this seriously and continue to take our natural resources for granted. Global warming and the damage its done to our climate is easily seen just in our lack of seasons here in the northeast. Falls are endlessly warmer, summers are blazing hot and we barely have spring anymore. Ice caps are melting at rapid rates, raging forest fires are becoming worse year over year, we're seeing epic level droughts and the list keeps going on.

But hey, what can we expect from a nation where half of its citizens don't trust or believe in science, think everything is a media conspiracy and don't have the foresight to consider the impact to future generations, generations of their OWN family. It's sad really, I think we are doomed quite honestly. Unfortunately, there is just too much ignorance and stupid to contend with no matter how hard some people try to correct the situation and do the right thing.

Exactly.

Exactly? You are just as stupid as she is then. What steps has she actually taken to reduce her carbon footprint? Has she given up her gas guzzling SUV? (I actually don't know if she has one, but I am willing to bet she does). Has she moved into an eco friendly home with solar panels? Has she ditched her AC in the summer? Has she stopped eating red meat and products made with Palm Oil? I'm betting she scarfing down a bag of Frito Lay as she typed this post. I'm willing to bet her small sacrifices are bringing reusable bags to the grocery store and drinking out of a reusable bottle and not much more. I highly doubt your friend over there is taking any major steps to reduce her carbon footprint but here you are applauding her.

"Stupid" is spouting off when you have NO idea what you're actually talking about. Stop making assumptions about me, you know NOTHING and just sound like some crazy, ranting b!tch.

Oh - so I guess I have it all wrong then? I know enough about you from what you post on the boards and I bet I am pretty close to accurate in my description. You posted you keep your house at like 62 degrees all summer because you hate being hot. How do you get it that cold if you don't blast the AC?

Your obsession with me on here is so weird. Guess it explains why you relate to Ginger (vb/windy/hazel) so much.

Maybe take a break from your LIF ranting and get away to one of your ten vacation homes and relax. You seem pretty high strung. Enjoy the weekend. Chat Icon

But why?? Jesus, why do you guys have to take it there and start sh!t all the time. Post that you are scared and what you do to alleviate the problem. Stop blaming and calling people names. Then play victim when they come back at you.

Starting $hit? Ummm, yea ok.

My post wasn't directed at anyone nor was it in response to anyone so relax. As you often like to point out, everyone is entitled to express their opinion on here even if you don't agree. Just keep scrolling.

Perhaps when people reply they should make an effort to stop bringing up people's personal lives, of which they know nothing about, and instead stay on topic. Making assumptions about others is stirring $hit. I on the other hand replied directly to the topic at hand. If you took it personally for some reason, that's not really my problem.

She will never admit that you are correct. NO ONE has a small house AND has a library in it. She HAS mentioned over and over about hating the summer so providing AC for a larger home will use more energy.

If anyone here truly lives simple, then they are just at fault about destroying the environment. I guess they should be terrified of themselves then too.

How I “relate” to WW? You are so weird. And I don’t have ten vacation homes. Only 3. And another house that’s strictly an investment property. But I digress…. Lol.

I do have an odd obsession with calling you out on your bull sh*t, and you just keep spewing it so I really can’t get enough. But you can not seriously think your small sacrifices make any difference in climate change when people like you aren’t willing to make the bigger, more important sacrifices. But I guess the fact that you never travel and confine yourself to your tiny bubble of life does help somewhat.

But I guess the fact that you never travel and confine yourself to your tiny bubble of life does help somewhat.

Your idiotic comments about me are so amusing. Chat Icon

Stop talking, Ginger.

Why do you keep saying her name? It's so weird. If you are so against people on here bringing up personal information you shouldn't do it. I think that in kindergarten they teach you two wrongs don't make a right.

You really are a child aren't you? It's truly fascinating. It's like you haven't moved past high school in so many ways....

It doesn’t keep me up at night, but I do worry about it. There have been so many mistakes made.

That being said, I do what I can. It’s probably offset by all the travelling I have done, though. Everyone (I hope) tries to do their part, but I’m not sure it is enough at this point. It kind of seems like a lost cause.

This is how I feel. This week I am enjoying the weather but realized how f#cked up it is, considering its October.

Ha! I thought so at first too but she keeps using initials and calling her Ginger so I just assume it's her name? Maybe I am wrong though. Either way for someone who finds it so offensive that personal info is put on here, she sure doesn't have a problem doing it to someone else. But it is consistent with her maturity level so I can't say I am surprised.

NO ONE is obsessed over you. How sad someone in their 40’s would think this.

Maybe go and volunteer or join some groups to make some friends or, gasp, get a paying job. It sounds like you have been isolated too much and need some adult socialization. Too much time spent with the kids that you are acting like a middle schooler.

But why?? Jesus, why do you guys have to take it there and start sh!t all the time. Post that you are scared and what you do to alleviate the problem. Stop blaming and calling people names. Then play victim when they come back at you.

FFS, play nice or don’t play at all.

Nope she can’t see how much of a hypocrite she is. You can’t grow and mature in life when you think you are always right and can’t admit your mistakes.

Well if that’s all true she’s taking more steps than someone who doesn’t worry about it bc “nobody she knows” will be alive.
