Anyone's baby only sleep in a swing/bouncy seat?
My 3 month old ds will not sleep in his crib. Even if he's in a deep sleep in our arms, he wakes up soon after we lay him down. How can I break this habit? He's getting too big for the swing!

I had that problem too. I have no advice though. My son was almost 7 months before we got him into the crib...He was not old enough to "deal" with before then..and even our Ped just told us do what we have to do.
Maybe try the Crib for naps first...and just to hang out in a few times a day for a few minutes at a time.

Re: Anyone's baby only sleep in a swing/bouncy seat?
Donna and MrsG it's so nice to know that others are going through this. My 3 1/2 month old transitioned from the bouncy seat to the carseat at about 2 months old She slept in the crib for about a week and then got a stuffy nose last month and has had it on and off all month. She sleeps so well in the carseat. She'll sleep 6-8 hours and will eat and go back to sleep for another 2-4 depending on how long she slept to begin with. I just make sure I give her time on her tummy and back during the day. My sister's 3 month old is sleeping in her car seat, too. She has been napping in her crib though.

Andrew for the first three months slept in his bouncy seat. Then the weekend before I went back to work I tried putting him right in his crib and he went right down. And has been there ever since

Re: Anyone's baby only sleep in a swing/bouncy seat?
For the first month he slept in the pack n play. Then he wouldn't sleep flat anymore and slept like a baby in the swing until about 4.5 months. We did cry it out for the crib because he needed to be able to sleep in the crib at daycare. It only took about 3 night of minimal crying. THen, he was so congested, we started letting him back in the swing to sleep propped up, but he never had a problem going to sleep in the crib anymore if we put him in there. We had to get rid of the swing at about 7-8 months when he was trying to roll/crawl out of it and getting stuck on his side.

Re: Anyone's baby only sleep in a swing/bouncy seat?
my dd naps in bouncy and swing, and for bed time she falls asleep in those first then we transfer her to her crib. We never tried just putting her in crib, i dont think it would work, shes used to the rocking and vibrating. DH and I are in for it, when she gets too big for the bouncy/swing.
