Anyone's child not look like them at all?

My first born is the spitting image of my husband. She has eveything of his. (except one obvious thing ) I look at her and squint and I see nothing that resembles me. I see his mother,father and especially brother in my daughter. But nothing of me . She is the most perfectly healthy baby, so this is obviously minor in the grand scheme of things. People always tell me oh, the firstborn, especially daughter always looks like the father.

With my second one I tell everyone that I don't care if it is a boy or girl. I just want the child to slightly resemble me I just need assurance because the next time someone tells me she is a spitting image of him and looks nothing like me OR I should've called my daughter the feminine version of his name, I just might lose it
Has this happened to anyone else?

My son looks like me and my family. Looks nothing like my husband. Jacen is all Brady, but he does have facial expressions of my husbands. It doesn't seem to bother my husband.

But i get what you're saying. Of course you want at least one of them to look like you. I definitely get that. But there's always pieces of you- in them.

ha my own mother asks me if I had anything to do with DD...she's all daddy..she is just recently starting to show some sign that she came from me

I don't think Elizabeth looks like either of us.

Everyone says Alexandra looks like DH.

Neither of mine do. My first is the carbon copy of my DH. My second is the carbon copy of the UPS man

my DS looks just like me (blue eyes, light hair)and my DD looks just like my DH (dark hair and green/hazel/brown eyes)...it's so funny that they are opposite. My DH was secretly hoping she would look like him b/c everyone alway said our DS was all me, so he is THRILLED she is his carbon copy

Its funny bc DS really look likes DH and it never bothered me. But now that my family says DD looks just like me as a baby, I like it more than I thought I would

Worse than that, my youngest ds looks like my father in law and brother in law (don't care much for either of them). He doesn't have a single drop of me or dh in him.
My older ds is a great mix of both of us though.
I'm an only child so I kinda always wanted someone who looked like me ya know.

Crashing.. I have a friend who has three children and none of them look a thing like her! She has olive skin with dark brown hair and eyes and all of her kids have bleach blond looking hair with light eyes! They 110% look like their father. I guess he has some insanely dominate genes!

my DD hardly looks like me at all! she is DH's mini-me...i am dark haired and dark eyed she is blonde and has these amazing blue eyes...my DS is more like my DH too....
doesn't seem fair!
i tell my DH that i did all the hard work to bring them into this world and he gets all the credit!

I get mixed answers, when DD is with me everyone says she looks like me but when shes with DH everyone says she looks like DH. But when shes with the both of us they say shes a good mix

Personally I think she looks nothing like me and is a spitting image of DH.

my first is all DH, our second looks like nothing like DH or myself. people are going to start asking questions

my dd looks exactly like me (when she was born, she looked alot like DH - darker complexion, rounder face, etc)

my ds, when he was born, looked JUST like my DH, like a little old man version of my DH ...now, at 10 months, he looks more like me

DS has DH eyes and my chin and forehead, but he's much paler, blonder, and has these blue gray eyes. It looks like we stole him from some Swedish people, we are dark haired, dark eyed people, with olive skin.

I'm still in awe of him and how gorgeous he is. They say he'll get darker over time, I still think he'll be gorgeous, but hopefully look like one of us.

I have blonde hair, blue eyes and whitey white skin. You can see my son in my profile. He obviously looks a lot like his daddy. I don't mind at all. He is the cutest thing I have ever seen

DS looks NOTHING at all like my DH.

It does bother him. We joke though that he is a lot like DH - they like ALL the same foods and they have a similar personality.

I just posted this a week or so ago. i was so upset bc everyone said our daughter looks like dh.

mine look nothing like me but I always say that they can look like dh as long as they're as smart as me

DS looks just like his daddy! Everyone keeps making comments about how he's a little mini-DH, and it makes me a little sad sometimes.

The only person who says that DS resembles me a little is DH, but I think he only says that to make me feel better

I hear all the time "no offense, but she looks nothing like you". She is DH's mini-me, but a girl! Maybe she'll look more like me as she gets older?

Not a thing. When we went for walks around our neighborhood people always assumed I was the nanny and would ask me about his parents. They were shocked when I said I'm his mother. He is DH's mini-me. We'll see if #2 is the same.
