Well, I am not going on STD until I give birth - I plan on ging all the way through - they told me I still need to call them 30 days before I am planning on filing, so thats in a few days. Then, I call them after I give birth, so my plan will kick into effect at that moment, I'm assuming

I bought into the plan, so they are going to pay for 60% of my salary. That means I will get 40% on a regular basis from my job (also NS-LIJ)

I cant afford to wait too long to get this main bulk of my money though - I mean, do they give the checks at any old time they feel like it, or are there specific dates I can hold them to, so I know when to expect it, and if I don't, I can call them... harass them... whatever

I am not planning on using all of my paid time at NS-LIJ, so I really need to go this way and get the money I should be getting, or I won't be able to afford anything for the baby - and that is very scary....

Any answers, please help....

I had Hartford and got them every 2 weeks. I took out 60% and received a decent amount every 2 weeks
