anyone's DC have cold like symptoms while teething?

So I've been posting all day about DD having a cold/allergies. The ped seems to think its allergies so he told me to give her bendaryl, well all that did was make her ultra drowsy, and not help with the cough and runny nose....now I'm thinking it may be teething...she's in OK spirits and no fever thank g-d....anyone's DC have this while teething...she's def teething and ultra drooly and I see two lumps in the front of her mouth on her gums...

very common jenn, Nicky used to seem like he has a cold when he was getting teeth..no fever, just runny and mucousy

yea, you see how kids are though...theyll run around with snot all over the place and not even think twice about it..WERE the ones who get crazy over it..
shes probably ok..your ped thinks allergies right? But its probably too early to tell im thinking..
i would chalk it up to seasonal or teething...if she looks uncomfortable, then i would bring her in.

YES!!!!!! It drives me insane because at first I was afraid for him to be out because I was nervous other moms would get mad at me for letting a 'sick' kid out. Now I realize that most kids have much snot in the first two years. There's a lot of teeth in the first two years.

And snot=post nasal drip=cough.

Yup. Reilly was sooo congested that I had to elevate her mattress even more than the usual wedge I have under it. He nose was running badly and she had a bit of a fever too. It sucked! But after her two teeth popped thru, she was a lot better!

thx ladies, how long were they congested for before the teeth showed....she's making me nuts here, I'm thinking to take her to the Dr again, but what is he going to say to me to keep doing what I'm doing etc...UGH!!!

DD does - she is teething now actually. She drools like crazy sticks her whole hand or two in her mouth and when she sticks her hands in her mouth her nose will run - it does not run all day only when she is rubbing her gums. She doesn't run a fever or get a cough - just the drool and on and off runny nose. She does sleep thru the night though - but does get cranky and throws more temper tantrums.

DS had a cold like that for a few days, then he started running a fever and then got an ear infection. We have been battling this for a week now. If you feel like she is getting worse then I would bring her to the ped. Hope she feels better.
