anyone's DH diagnosed with testicular cancer and had to do Chemo?
It all happened quickly. We were on vacation and DS kicked DH then he found a lump. We came home dh went to the dr and his primary care tried to dismiss it as nothing. DH pushed for a sonogram and from there had to go see a surgeon. Sure enough it was testicular cancer. He was diagnosed on a tuesday, had the surgery on wednesday and they then deemed him cancer free. This was all in june. Fast forward to now, he had his first of many check ups last week. The dr called today to say his AFP levels came back slightly elevated again (they were up slightly after surgery, then went to normal after the second round of blood work and now are slightly elevated again). The dr said we will do one more blood work and if it's still coming back elevated they will do 3 days of chemo to get rid of anything. If your DH had chemo for testicular cancer, did that take care of it?

My DH had TC. He had surgery to remove the testicle and then had to do 3 rounds of chemotherapy. He has been cancer free since April 2004.
If he's undergoing chemotherapy and you're planning on having more children, I strongly suggest having him bank sperm just in case. Due to the chemo, my DH no longer produces sperm. We were able to conceive DS via IVF.

Eta: My DH said it also depends on the specific type of TC.
