Anywhere here NOT getting (or didnt get) a convertible/high back crib?
I really cant say im a fan of these. I love the more standard looking crib.
However, when i went to BBB yesterday the salesman told me that manufactuers are redoing these to not make the drop down sides anymore due to injuries etc. So now im not sure what to do from here.
HAs anyone ordered a standard crib that is w/in the new regs already?
Im adding a pic so you know what i mean by standard crib

Have you looked at landofnod.com? All their cribs are made in the USA and comply with all the applicable safety codes. I think their cribs only convert into a toddler daybed. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Anywhere here NOT getting (or didnt get) a convertible/high back crib?
While other people have no issues with standard/ non drop down crib, I need a drop down. My girls cribs are drop downs but their cribs were taken off the display b/c of thta. Next week a whole new shipment is coming in that are non drop sides. So that's what I have to get and I'll just have to deal with it.
I like the crib you posted by the way.

THe crib that I ordered actually has a drop down side option, but since Bellini makes their own furniture I am having them build it so it does not drop down and it is secure. Other then that, I'm not sure what you mean my standard crip. My crib has a heavier back and looks most appropriate against a wall. It is not the same on both sides. It also converts to a bed. Don't know if I answered any of your questions but hth!!!
And yes, as far as all the regulations, it complies!!

I love that style of crib. The reasons we didn't get one like that is b/c we wanted pure white color and no drop down that was in our price range. I don't think we ever found one like that... or just didn't like the style of the ones we did find (I can't really remember). Plus, we wanted to buy from BBB since we had several 20% off coupons and once we went there and saw the bonavita peyton lifestyle in person we were sold!

I ordered a drop down side crib. It is a new, revised edition that meets all regulations. We are not huge fans of convertible cribs- we wanted a standard crib that all of our babies could use, since we're hoping to have them all relatively close together. Unfortunately I couldn't find a basic drop down crib- I got a convertible- but it looks traditional enough for me... plus, IMO convertible cribs do not work with my arthritis. I need a drop down so I can more easily reach in & out of the crib.

I have a standard crib without drop down sides. It isn't a convertible and I love it.
