Apparently, I am having a big baby....WITH UPDATE!
I went for my appt yesterday with my high risk Dr. Had my usual bi-monthly sonogram.
All is looking well with Mr.T ( baby's nickname) but @ 27 weeks 5 days he was weighing in @ 2lbs 13 oz. in the 73 percentile.
I was happy with that news, until my Dr asked me my # from my glucose test.
My ob/gyn's office ( not high risk Dr's office) gave me the test this past Saturday so I assumed no news was good news.
I called the OBGYN's office and they are closed until Monday  . ( TGIF) I know they need time off, but I thought i was in the clear.
My high risk Dr said that the baby's weight will be fine if my glucose is ok, otherwise he said we will deal with it.
I am a little nervous now and am hoping that everything came back ok, but the suspense is killing me.
PLease keep your fingers crossed otherwise, I am off to the 3 hour one of these days.
UPDATE-------
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!! My high risk Dr's office was able to contact the lab to get the results of my glucose test. (being that my ob/gyn's office is closed this week)
Everything is perfect, he's just a big boy
I appreciate everyone for sharing thier stories and all the well wishes

The baby is not that big...You are 1 week ahead of me and at 26 weeks, my baby boy weighed 2.2 up 11 ozs from 24 weeks. The dr. nor the tech seemed overly concered. The baby is supose to gain 3 ozs per week!

I am surprised at that. It doesn't sound big to me either! At my 32 week sono - my baby measured in the 75%ile and they said that is a good weight and not too big at all - and I specifically asked if it that meant it was big.

Thanks girls, I went to the high risk Dr 2 &1/2weeks ago and the baby was 1lb 14oz.
I guess just not knowing until Moday is driving me nuts
ETS_ my high risk Drs are VERY conservative and make you feellike thier only patient- they call a.s.a.p. with every test result. They spoil me completely. BUt, they are intense!
MY obgyn is really laid back .
I guess I am the type of person who if there is a problem, I need to solve it right away and not being able to find out until Monday is testing my patence ( sorry I am being a big baby)

At 27 wks 5 days I had a biophysical done. My baby weighed 2 lbs 15 oz and was considered big but nothing to worry about. I am surprised they are even concerned.

Dont go by the sonos either as written in stone.
My sons head was measuring weeks ahead of his gestational age and they had me doing Bio physicals b/c of it.
Well who knows WHAT they saw, his head is actually on the "small size" percentile wise  now that hes here.
And he was a little over a lb les sthen what they predicted weight wise ( and I had bi weekly sonos).
I hope your sugar is ok!

I wouldn't worry. I have a baby elephant inside of me. (Direct doctor quote.) And I passed my GD test with flying colors!

I don't think that's big at all, plus it's only an estimate. Everything I've read said that 2-3 lbs is the average by 29 wks.
My baby measured 15oz at 21 wks & then 2 1/2 lbs at 27 wks. The dr said that's the normal range

Thanks girls, I feel a lot better.
The Dr was just concerned that he got so big w/o knowing my glucose test #.
He did say if my sugar is undercontrol 135 or less it's fine and if not, we will deal with it.
He did emphasize that everything looked good.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and thoughts

No worries!!!!!!!!!
I had a growth sonogram done at 30weeks 1 day and Caden was estimated at 4lbs 3oz...the perinatalogist said he was definitely over 4lbs and was measuring 3 weeks ahead (size wise)..
She never questioned my GD test (which I had passed my 3 hour)...
I gave birth to my eldest daughter at 36 weeks gestation and she weighed 7lbs15oz...so I guess I just have big babies...

Thank you, I LOVE my high risk Dr's but they SCRUTINIZE everything. YOu guys are the best, easing my mind

I am 28 weeks and at 27 wks 6 dys baby weighed 2lbs 6 oz and they said babies can gain about 1/2 pd a week from now on
