apt question
would u take an apt. if all windows faced back? but apt was a huge one bedroom for a really great price. nice size kitchen too and bathroom nice foyer good size closets
only flaw is it looks out to back of building alley kind of and then back of other building and the fire escape is taking up half the livingroom window.

Re: apt question
I did. I got a great deal on a 1br in Manhattan in a great location. In fact, 5 years and one daughter later I am still there because it was such a good deal.
I just got a lot of lamps.

Re: apt question
it all depends on the person. personally i have my curtain shut at all times bc i hate that the natrual light makes a glare on the tv... but if you ask my college roomate she was obsessed with natrual light and looking out windows.... just make sure you really know what kind of person you are before you compromise...

Same here plus it's would be quieter if it's on a low floor - no street/car noise.

Re: apt question
I would...OUr apt now has one window in the kitchen facing the front and one in the bathroom. But our LR & BR window and our balcony all face the back. Looking into kind of an alley and facing the back of bed bath and beyond. but it's a huge apt and its was a good price and it has plenty of room and closet space

I agree. I need a lot of natural sunlight (it just make me happy ) so I would prefer having big windows with a view and lots of sun. I used to have an apt in LI where all our windows faced the back of the building and overlooked a parking lot. There wasn't a lot of sun either. I wasn't crazy about it but the apartment was nice and the price wasn't too bad. I dealt with it for 2 years but made sure that our next apartment had LOTS of windows and light
