I've had a glider and a rocking chair with all of my kids and EBF, I hardly ever used the glider or rocking chair... So to answer the question.. no it's def. not a must.. if you have room then it's nice to have for those cranky times.

i have a glider and used it everynight to nurse and now that im not nursing i use it to give her a bottle. i know that kmart sells an inexpensive one for 89 dollars and when they hvae a baby sale you can get it with the ottamin for 89

I got a wooden one at a consignment store for under 100. It has been a lifesaver the past two days getting my DD to sleep.
