Are the traditional bright, red stockings out?

I have the traditional hairy red stockings for all of us and was actually thinking of getting different one's. All of a sudden they look out dated to me. But, I really can't spend a lot of money for them. Does anyone else still use the basic stockings or does everyone have more modern one's for the kids/family? I've always loved the traditional one's mainly because that's what I grew up using, but now, especially with the house on the market it might not look good. Any thoughts? Thanks!

We had them. Then I got Steven a newer one...but it still looks old fashioned. My next crochet project is to make new ones for the 3 of us Chat Icon

I know you can get the traditional ones in Duane Reade too!

I like the ones you area talking about! They remind me of being a kid.
This year I got new ones from PBK...they are red velvet and look like the traditional ones. we all had different ones and it was driving me crazy!

I had the traditional one growing up and I love them that way!
Now we have them for our family (including the dog) and it will stay that way! I just like them better than the fancy newer ones!
