Not that I know of. I don't think any of the "usual" organizers are up for it this year.

Aaw! That's a shame. That is what always made this board so special! Well, if any of the new generations on here want to do something?

I don't mind organizing something but I think the balance needs to be put on a credit card, which I don't have. If that's not the case, I'm game. But is it the organization the regulars aren't interested in, or the showing up part?

For the ones I did, I just had to send in a deposit and then paid the balance the day of the GTG - so the only thing I had to lay out was the deposit.

I don't have a credit card and I've set up a bunch of these...

Depending on the place, they do have you leave a deposit though

Re: Are there any Halloween GTGs set up?'

My sister is thinking about seting up a halloween event at the Marriot. She was going to charge $10 per kid, no fee for the adults. I think she is still trying to work out the details but I can let you guys know when things are finalized.

Is that something you guys would be interested in?

Ugh. I'm not sure if I can put much down, but if anyone needs help organizing I can do that. It feels like the GTGs have died down, but such is life. And Lif. Lol!

I was thinking the same thing. I wan to have a party so bad especially since it's on a Saturday this year but I just don't have the space.Chat Icon

If enough people are interested in a get together someplace and have ideas I'd organize it.

Re: Are there any Halloween GTGs set up?'

Dani/Christine - depending on the day and time, I would be interested.

I feel the board is less cohesive these days - the 1st year of Cailen's life there were so many GTG's - it was nice to have that. I don't NEED the GTG's, but it kept that nice sense of community and togetherness. I know there's been drama and half the women on here hate each other Chat Icon but there are still many awesome people on here who should meet and get to know each other.

Personally, I'm not even sure if I could even make it because I have friends having parties, but if the date worked for me I would love to get together....

As one that has organized GTGs, it takes a lot of time and effort and that is why I'm not doing something on the boards. It has also been the same people organizing over and over again and it's a lot of work and would be nice to just be a 'guest' instead of being in charge of everything. It would be nice to have some new people take the lead.

ITA - I know how hard you work!!! Chat Icon

ETA - I would try to work with someone if they are interested. I'm actually working 3 jobs right now - a full time from 9-5, 3 evenings a week, and Saturday mornings and Sundays Chat Icon Time is really sparse for me, so I would be happy to assist, but not take the lead...

Re: Are there any Halloween GTGs set up?'

I would be willing to organize BUT I need a few ?'s answered first:

1) What have been the usual halloween
gtg's in the past?

2) Could we do it not on Halloween? I really want to spend Halloween with my hubby and DS trick or treating, since it's his first. Mommy is so stealing all of that candy :)

3) Could we do it during the week or does it have to be on the weekend?

See - I knew the young'uns would come out! Chat Icon

I just FM'd Headoverheels who asked some questions - I will cut n paste and send to you too - actually, I would prefer a different date than Halloween - I'm only available on weekends, but it would depend on the day, time, etc...

Feel free to FM me or Katedevine if you have any specific questions as we organized a few over the last year. Sue would probably help out too.
