This is what is happening. They ask these prices and SOMEBODY, usually a contractor knocks it down and builds a bigger taller home.  I should have married a contractor

that is nuts. but someone will pay $300K for it, put in a huge amount of renevations and sell it for a lot more then what they bought it for.
Hubby found out what our house is worth and it doubled in price in a year and he's ready to sell and we're not even in it yet  I told him no way. we'll wait 5 years at least.

No one is going to buy that for the "house*. Depending on where it is in Northport, it's a steal. They'll knock it down and put up a million dollar McMansion.
A house at the end of my block was on the market for $695K (last I can remember), don't know what it sold for, but is being torn down and a $1.3M house is being put up.

The property size is .11 I dont know what kind of mansion they could build on that - but who knows!
It looked worse in person, it was really gross.
