Are you a confrontational person?

In reading some posts and thinking about what I would do, I realized that after a certain point, I AM.

There are certain things I couldn't let go...without the perp getting a piece of my mind.

even if it meant going against another's wishes, like my husband...or my mother...I would have no peace without duking it out and getting into an issue.

I have too much of a temper and am a VERY excitable and reactionary person, in the good and bad sense of that.

it's hard I think for my dh especially, who is not very confrontational at all...and I usually try to respect that and hold my tonge...

but the rampaging beast in me would chew through the chains that hold me down for certain things...and WOE WOE WOE to that person

anyone else a nutter like me? or are you guys more civilized?

I think I react according to how I am confronted. I usually try my best to ignore most people, but if someone is in my face, I can get nutty. DH, on the other hand, is VERY confrontational. I hate it. IMO, some things are just not worth it...

i would have to say, if someone insulted me or my character, especially in front of other people.. i would go a little ape sh*t. i have a temper and i absolutely do not let someone get the last word in. so i would have to say im quite confrontational. my FH says i like to pick fights because i like to fight and win

It depends what's meant by confrontational. I will speak up, but I'll try hard not to yell, insult, etc. I'll try to make the point rationally, but it's hard to stay totallyquiet and "eat it" often.

Eh, not really. I'm not afraid of confrontation -- I can hold my own -- but most things that bother other people don't really bother me.

No, not really a confrontational person.

I'll sit and stew on things for a while before I open my mouth, and even then I'm mindful of what I say. But that's not really the best way to handle things either, because by then I'm boiling over.

I'm also (fortunately) not in situations often where I feel the need to be confrontational. When it does happen, I'm usually too stunned to react on the spot and need time to digest what just happened.

I guess I would be confrontational and it does get me into trouble sometimes.

IE: I see someone liter. I pick up the item and hand it to them. I did this the other day. You should have seen the look on the guys face.

It depends what its over. Most times I wish I was more confrontational. Other times, especially if I am sticking up for a family member or friend I am more confrontational.

It depends on the situation. I'm more likely than not to let someone know where I stand on an issue if it's important to me. I'm seriously loyal to my family and friends, as well, and will stick up for them if necessary.

Also, as a litigator, I'm confrontational on behalf of my clients (when necessary) for a living.

That said, I don't think I'm an argumentative person in general. I don't seek out confrontation, but I hold my ground when I feel the need to get my point across of defend someone. In addition, I pick my battles. I don't find the need to get upset and confrontational over every little thing.

Yes, I am. Sometimes a little too much - but when I have something on my mind I have no qualms about saying it out loud.

I'm not and I really wish I was. I let things go easily but then get angry about it later and then I get really mad that I didn't confront the situation.

I am but I pick and choose where I stick my foot and up whose butt.

Last night was a true test. I kept my cool but I really wanted to beat the ever lovin crap out of this punk.

I xan be. But when I do it, I do it with class, dignity and behaving like a lady. I ponder and I try to be pro-active rather than reactive. I choose my words carefully. I am also really good at insulting people without them realizing it. This is when an extensive vocabulary is very helpful

Not really, I try to avoid conflict if I can......but if it gets to that point, I can get pretty ugly

Yup---i think i can be pretty confrontational. i think i get it from my dad---good lord he never backs down from anything ever!

I'm not really a confrontational person. I'd rather pick and choose my battles.

I am and I unfortunately have a temper to boot. I am working on these things though.

I am not controntational when I do not have to be. I play nice, but another lawyer once told me this about myself: if you back me into a wall, watch out. I've left people dumbfounded after they've found out that I don't get pushed around. Same lawyer also told me that I have a sharp tongue!

I am in a sense-but only if it is between me and that person. I will not confront lets say, my DH's family member because it would cause a hassle for me. But my friends or family hells yeah
