I could answer that question with one statement my DH made after we had been married a few months -

"I think we both need a wife."

Now I don't know WHAT's going to happen next week when we are both back at work. To be honest, I am a little fearful that Sh!t is gonna hit the fan and chaos will ensue. Tune in next week! Chat Icon

Speaking of wifey...a good frined of mine just got married recently and his wife asked me if I gave DH breakfast in bed....I was like "uhm...NO!" She's like well I do it all the time. I wanted to smack her and say sweety I work 40 hrs a week and ten to my daughter!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Are you a "wifey" kind of wife?

I use to be more when we were newlyweds. But, after my son was born and I work full time, it's just hard to be a "wifey". I am too tired from everything else.
I suppose I should try more.

Definitely not. I work longer hours then DH so he does more cooking and cleaning then I do

No- I need a wife.

I am a good cook, but between a job and the gym, when I get home I am wiped. I make a point to cook almost every Friday night and light the candles for Shabbat.

AS for cleaning, I am definitely more the cleaner than DH- but we have a cleaning woman which makes things so great.

But I do shower him with love and affection- so in that way I am very wifey.

Re: Are you a "wifey" kind of wife?

I think im definitely the wifey type of wife.

I like to take care of him (as he does the same for me) - he works 2 jobs and sometimes doesn't have enough time for himself let alone helping me clean and cook- so i totally understand that - so i take care of doing those type of things and don't have a problem with it.

He'll occasionally clean the bathroom for me (since im pregnant), takes care of the bills and such...
