it depends... I said yes to the extended warranty on our television and phone insurance. No to insurance on other stuff like computers (the technology doesn't outlive the warranty) or cars.

Usually it's a no. Unless it's a super expensive and complicated item.

I'm a no person but it has come back to bite me in the a$$. My DH is a yes person so when the TV broke it cost nothing to fix because he said yes to the extended warrenty.

When the GPS broke we were out of luck because I said no to the warrenty. I really should become a yes person.

No for anything under $200 or simple to fix.

Yes for anything more expensive or complicated.
