I've never once popped one. I just find it so icky. I will use an extra, extra hot face cloth and try to wipe it away (it seems to work for me for some reason). Immediatlely washing the cloth of course. I used to use carbolated vaseline (anyone remember this? I can't seem to find it anymore) to bring it to a head and then the hot cloth.

Me too. Hot compresses are the best. I don't use the vaseline though.

i've never had a poppable zit in my life  I always get ingrown pimples that just make lumps, then go down after a few days.
Rich, however, lets me know when he has "a present" for me - I get his!!
