high waisted definitely in case of a c-section!
I was going to say the same thign! I have the largest panties in the world which I used after I had my c/s. i was terrified to have anything anywhere near that!
I went to a follow up appt 2 or 4 weeks after DS was born and my DR yelled at me for wearing my regular low rise underwear because the rubbing can cause scar tissue!

Re: Are you bringing granny panties to the hosptial...
I bought grannys for the hospital and ended up having a csection... I was not able to wear them. The disposables were the BEST. I also wore the boy shorts from target as well, one size up, and they worked well too!! Nothing with a tight elastic waist will be comfy if you have a csection, even weeks after.

Re: Are you bringing granny panties to the hosptial...
bring them? I am wearing them right now!
I can't stand to have anything under the belly just a weird feeling to me so I prefer to pull those suckas over!
With my 1st c/s though I did use the mesh ones in the hospital they held everything in place nicely (ie, pad) and breathed but I don't remember them lasting very long since they are meant to be disposable (or were back then). Back to my big ol' comfty panties shortly after I got home. I didn't want anything touching the scar for months and months.

Re: Are you bringing granny panties to the hosptial...
I wasn't prepared for my emergency c so DH had to go out and find my the high waisted type lol but I found really nice ones at Macys that don't have an elastic waist, it's more of a lace stretch material at the top and they are high waisted, I'd take a look there

Re: Are you bringing granny panties to the hosptial...
I'm so glad I brought them. I have sensitive skin and got a horrible rash from the mesh underwear that the hospital provided. I was glad to have the granny underwear with me, especially since I had a c-section. I didn't want anything to to be too close to my incision.

I brought some, but I actually didn't even use them. The one's the hospital gives you worked great for me. Considering I bled all over the place a couple times...

Re: Are you bringing granny panties to the hosptial...
My hospital didn't have the disposable ones.
I bought a pack of hanes grannies and THEY DIDN'T FIT! They had elastic around the leg holes, and my legs were so swollen after being in active labor for 44+ hours that they were cutting off my circulation. My mom had to run to the store and got me some witthout elastic around the leg holes. JUst something to keep in mind. Go for the most comfy ones possible!
