Are You Cautious
about how much personal issues, personal problems, and information you give out on this forum about your personal life? I am asking because a co-worker of mine discovered his fiance is discussing personal stuff about their relationship and his family on a chat board. Now he is having second thoughts about his future with this lady.
To answer my own question , yes, I am very mindful because you never know what can happen.

I use this board for entertainment when I'm bored. I would never post anything personal on here (not even pictures) because I know of a few lurkers.  I do know a lot of great gals on here that I do enjoy chatting with though!

I get personal to a point, I wont put my address on here but I vent on what a jerk DH was when he left in the morning. I think its like that with anything. I have pics up and havent thank GOd, had any issues.

yes and no. i will post pics and will rant about family, but i won't post anything that is really personal, or is affecting a family member. this is a great resourse, but there are some things that are off limits to me.

Definitely cautious. Overly-cautious. I don't post pictures of myself or my children and I deliberately avoid posting "specific" details. You can never be too careful, IMO.

I don't really get TOO detailed when discussing personal issues, but I do discuss them.. since that's what this website is for. Most of the really personal things I discuss via FM or email. I know that recently I have posted that DH and I are going through a rough time... and I know that if he ever saw my posts he wouldn't get mad because it's the truth. He does know, however, that I post on here so I'm sure he assumes that I vent about him sometimes

obviouslly there are alot of personal infos I discuss, but I want to remain quiet. Anything I would say here, I would say IRL. I am careful not to complain about coworkers (unless its vague) because I am sure some lurker out there knows me.
ETA: I dont mind posting pics, people see me all the time, whether I am driving ,walking, shopping , working etc. Why hide my face here?

Very! I never post where I live, pictures etc.
What is scary is so many on here post their towns, pics of their homes etc etc and especially if they have children it is so bad, so many can find where they live  and even work, etc etc

At first I posted a few pics of Dh and I but I no longer do that. Whenever my child is born I will not post any pics of he/she. I really do not want to expose my innocent child like that. Moreover, my family would be so mad if I should that especially DH. I have my boundaries.
