My dad died very suddenly at a young age (50). Sometimes I worry about that happening again with someone close. I try not to let those thoughts last for more than a few hours or minutes. I try not to worry about it too much because it is out of my control. I dread the day when I have to go through that pain again.
As far as me dying-I have no fear of that. When it is my time, it is my time.
same here...my Father died suddenly at age 49. since then I have this anxiety that I will die suddenly but if I am scared...i don't know.

Myself no. My Mom died 6 years ago and just 2 weeks ago my Brother died very suddenly. Knowing that I can be with them again someday doesn't really seem to make death all that frightening anymore.

I'm peterified. I always imagined me old and grey sitting on a rocking chair drinking sweet tea, smelling my gardenia's with my hubby (as we put our dentures in  ) Son comes in with his fiancee and we have a nice afternoon sitting outside by the pool. Now I know that the chances of me having a day like that are slim to none. I'm afraid of when it actually happens, how old will DS be, what impact will this have on his life. At what point will he be calling someone else mommy? Will he love her more than me because I'm just a picture and he was too young to remember me.

I am terrified of it. maybe later in life, A LOT later, I will not be as scared.
IMO, everyone is... why else would we all try and eat right, exercise, look before you cross the street, drive carefully, etc. to avoid death.

I am absolutely petrified and have been since I was little. At times i would think about it as I was laying in bed & cry because I was so scared. Not only of me dying, but the ones I love. Uh, I don't even want to think about it

me too. Exactly. I have lost loved ones (my dad and all of my grandmother) and although I do believe in an afterlife- I dont know what it will be like. I also can't imagine leaving Jordana. I think I will always ache to be with her.

I am scared of dying in pain or suffering. I am also scared of dying alone.
I am more scared of dying when it comes to my mother...my father passed away and it was really a sad time for me. I could right now thinking of it.

my aunt died in pain; my mother was in the room with her. it really changed how my mother perceived death...which was in peace, I guess. She actually witnessed the body shutting down, almost as though it were fighting. That really scared me....
I had a different take on it. I watched my father pass away and while it was heartbreaking to witness it was also comforting to finally see the release of that pain as his spirit left his very ill body.

Im not afraid of death. I believe that someday, when I die, my brother will be waiting for me, Its sounds sick, but before I had Alyssa, I thought to myself I cant wait to see him again and it actually took away all my fears of death. Now that I have Alyssa I am still not afraid of death, but I am afraid of not seeing my little princess grow up. If that makes any sense.
