Are you taking all of your vacation time?

I feel akward taking vacation knowing I am going to be out for three months - my company gives 12 weeks fully paid maternity leave. If yours is fully paid, are you planning on using your vacation time up this year too?

i attempted to and my boss denied my request i only get disability benefits (6wks vag, 8 wks c section) i really wanted to take a week in february to setup the nursery and was denied!

Yes and I did with the last pregnancy too. We're going to Aruba next month. I DO NOT feel bad. I give my all to the company when I'm here. I've been here over 10 years and earned all my vacation.

Plus, you need one babymoon b4 having the baby. It's going to be a while b4 you and DH have some quiet and alone time in a warm place. Get out while you can and enjoy

ETA - I see you put all. I actually carried over 5 days from last year so I have 25 days. I'm not taking all. So far the week and a half for Aruba and a day here and there.

i'm tacking my remaining vacay time to my maternity leave.
so instead of 8 wks, i'll have 11 wks (full pay)

I am and I don't feel guilty about it at all. I earned that vacation time and I am entitled to 12 weeks maternity under FMLA.

I have 2 weeks vacation this year. My year ends on June 30 and I'll be out on maternity until mid-May. I plan on saving my vacation for sometime in June so it won't be so bad going back to work.

Yes. I have to use 5 days before my short term disability kicks in but the other 3 weeks I will be taking my vacation. In fact, I already took the first week in January so I have two weeks left.

maternity leave and vacation time are separate at my job and i will totally be using up my vacation time as i normally would through out the year. I might use one week of vacay time to extend my maternity leave

I will definitely be using all my vacation time, I earned it. I get 3 weeks so I willl likely use a few days before the baby comes on random days here and there and will save the remaining days for after the baby is here. I wont be tagging them directly onto my 3 month maternity leave, but I may take several Friday/Mondays off.

If I had 12 weeks paid I would still use my vacation. My company pays for 6 weeks only so I am saving all of my 2010 vacation plus accrued vacation to take off for 4 months when the baby is born.

I can add it to the 8 or 10 weeks that are already paid, but I don't think I will.........I rather be able to spread it out throughout the rest of the year, I think.

I have 3 days of vaca time that I need to use by the end of June, and I plan on taking them...so far my vaca time has been used for snow days. Ugh. Then my vaca time renews just before I give birth, so I'll use half of it to be paid when my disability runs out.

im taking a week vacation in feb. i have 5 weeks vacation, so not taking all
