Art/craft idea for class of 2 year olds
My son's class is having a special art/craft day with parents. I need to bring in an art project or craft to do with the class -- 2 year olds. Any ideas??

The one craft my son loved best was sandcastles.
Gluestick on a picture of a castle.
Sprinkle sand!

Homemade play dough. There are tons of recipes online and its super easy. You can mix it ahead of time at home and give each kid a chunk and a cookie cutter to make shapes. Flour, water, sAlt and food coloring

Anything with glitter. Kids paint on glue, drop the item in a box of glitter, give it a shake and voila! I've done it with Star of David made from Popsicle sticks.

Art/craft idea for class of 2 year olds
If you want them to stay clean, I would stay away from glue and glitter! I think the dollar store sells scenes -- a background that you can put stickers on to create your own scene. If you can't find the pre-packaged ones, you could make your own. You could give them posters and crayons and stickers to make them!

Art/craft idea for class of 2 year olds
Jello finger paint! Use regular jello and a little water. They can make their own paint and then finger paint with it. Add in a few glue sticks, pom poms, feathers, and foam shapes and it should keep them busy and happy for a good chunk of time.

paper bag puppets
use pom poms, googly eyes, other paper, buttons, etc. glue with glue stick and crayons, markers, etc. to also decorate.
