Aside from Disney, where in FL do you recommend w/ a toddler?
We are thinking of going in April. In addition to locations, any specific hotels/resorts would be appreciated.

We took DS to Captiva Island last July and it was wonderful.
I don't know about resorts tho b/c DH's family rents a house.

Re: Aside from Disney, where in FL do you recommend w/ a toddler?
My ILs live in Boynton Beach and last year when we visited they took us to 2 different wetlands preserves that the county runs that are both less than 15 mins from their house. They were free to park and enter, and the kids LOVED them. So many different birds, reptiles and animals, and an alligator swam right under a bridge we were standing on at one of them, which the kids still talk about.
So whichever county you end up going to, look on their website to see if they have anything like that.
Also for anyone who is in that general area, my ILs take us to some little park along A1A where the intercoastal meets the ocean and we've seen manatees swimming. If you want me to try to get the name of the park FM and I"ll ask MIL the next time we talk to her.

Thanks!
We are considering Marco Island, Sanibel Island, and Captiva right now. I just wish we were rich so we could stay at the best of the best places!

We're very happy with the beach, a pool, and food. Thanks for the info!

We usually go to the Fort Lauderdale area.. by Hollywood and Coconut Creek. Its always warm and beautiful.. we've taken DD to butterfly world and a few big parks around there. Miami area is fun.. lots of hotels and shops and tons of beach.
