At 20 weeks what did ur baby weigh?? Because OOoo big mouthed people...make me mad

So I was told by the doctor the baby is about 10 ounces at 20 weeks.

I mentioned this to one of my friends and she explained it "WAS TOO SMALL"



Now, if I'm telling her the doctor told me he is fine, then why say anything?

Anyone else around this weight?

According to babycenter, they say the baby is 10.5 ounces at 20 weeks. That is very general of course, so 10 ounces sounds perfect.

No offense to your friend, but who the heck keeps track of how much babies are supposed to weigh at such an early stage? I would literally have NO IDEA what was normal or not, you could have said the baby was 3lbs already and I would have had no idea if that was good or not - tell her to get a life.

We just went for our 20 week appointment and the doctor told us the baby weighs 11 ounces. You sound right on target. Don't listen to other people

everyone is diff ... try to make light of the situation...like turn it into a joke-dont let people bother you!!!
if baby was too small than your dr would have said it not your friend.
i was 12 oz i think at 20w.

14oz at my level II which was 20w to the day.

Now at the end of my pregnancy baby's estimated weight is in the 57th percentile- so we are right on target and obviously not on the smaller side.

sounds like your friend doesn't know what they're talking about. don't know what our LO weighed at 20w but at 19w, he/she was 9oz. sounds like you are right on track. shrug it off and listen to your doctor, and not to people who don't have an MD.

At my level II which was at 19w3d the baby weighed 12oz.

My baby was 11 oz at 20 weeks, 10 oz is definitely a healthy weight at that stage.

At 20w3d weighed 13oz.

mine was 13 oz, but the sonos are not always right. they were off 2 lbs w/ my DS so don't worry!

I swear all of us preggers should walk around with tape in our pockets. I hate when people say such stupid things!
Your doctor is the only one to comment.
Since my last pregnancy was twins I always get "are you sure there is only one in there this time" Um you might as well say I'm a huge!

I went for my level II at exactly 20 weeks and my DD weighed 12 oz. She was born a healthy 8 pounds, 7 ounces....so no, I don't believe 10 oz is too small at this stage!

we were told our baby was 11 ounces as 19 weeks 5 days at our level 2 this week. people's comments can be so obnoxious. don't worry, your fine.

i had my level 2 yesterday and my twins weighed 10 oz and 11 oz. i actually made a post on the 'multiples' board bc i thought they were too big?!? lol

i think that was right on track and i would just ignore her comment!

At 19w3d (this past Tuesday), our baby weighed 11oz.

I told a relative that, who is pregnant with her first (who was 12oz at 19w2d), and she said we're both having big babies. I really don't think the weight at this gestational age really matters, unless of course the OB is concerned. I'm not going to say my baby is going to be big quite yet.

Keep in mind it's just an estimate.

My DS was estimated at 11oz at almost 21 weeks and was 8lbs 2oz at birth.

DD was 12 oz at 19wks 5 days. But these are just estimates which tend to be wrong... don't listen to that person. 10oz seems fine to me. I wouldn't be concerned.
