at 6:32pm i felt so old... not birthday related
after doing a lot of NOTHING on my birthday and loving it, i realized we have an empty fridge. since dh is working, i went to the supermarket.
i swear, i did not buy much. mostly seasonings... i had meat but no onions, peppers, garlic... so forth and so on.
so at 6:32 the young man tells me that my total is $137.29
suddenly, i felt old and i behaved like an old person. i told the young man that i remember when less than that fed a family of four for a week... and we ate WELL!
oy vey! i turned into my grandmother right there, in the middle of the supermarket.

Groceries are out of control. Esp. spices and produce! Good thing you already had meat- you would've spent double!
