I didn't start giving a pillow until my DD was about 2.5 and even then it was the crib wedge thing that fit completely across her crib mattress. I just covered it with a pillowcase that zipped closed. I was very nervous. Now that she is 3 she sleeps in a toddler bed with a regular pillow.

I gave a pillow at 14 months and I really just took an old flatter pillow from our closet for him....

i gave DS a pillow at about 12-13 months and it was a regular sized pillow
