At what age did you DC walk on their own
Ds will be 14 months on June 7th. He will walk about 5 steps and fall down. Whenhe does walk he is very uneasy and wobbles ALOT. Is this normal at this age? HE is a GREAt fast crawler so I am hoping thast teh reason.

11ms my dd started but was a bit wobble.. then the exact day she turned 1yr old.. at white post farm she took off.. and never looked back.

MY DS started to take his first steps at 9 1/2 months. By I would say 11 months he took off like there was no tomorrow.
I think it's normal and you will be amazed that almost over night he will be running! I would just continue to encourage him.

same here. At the beginning of July (13th month) she started taking steps on her own. By the end of July, she was running places.

Todd Jr started to take steps at 11 months, now he walks all over, still likes to hold on to things at times, but he's pretty much walking now, he turned 1 May 5th.

DS was 14 months when he started walking on his own, actually July 4, 2007 exactly 5 days before DD's birth and that is all I wanted He was a little wobbly but he didn't want to crawl after that.
DD was beetween 13&14 months too. Samething with her, she was wobbly but if she felt unsafe in her surrondings she did crawl.

Between 11 and 12 months, but he was verrrry wobbly and unsteady at first. Lots of falls.
From what I've seen, a lot of kids start walking after a year (I always thought a year was the average for some reason). So this sounds fine to me--DC will probably walk and run before you know it!

DD was about 14 months and DS was about 10 months. He's 13 months now and decided climbing should be his next accomplishment.

DS1 was taking steps by 9 months (mostly assisted) then full on walking and running by 11 months. He never really crawled though, only rolled and did the army crawl.
DS2 is 9 1/2 months and full on crawling VERY fast!!!! I think he will walk later since he can get to where he wants/needs by crawling.
Each kid progresses at their own rate.

10 months...but mine only crawled for maybe 6 days. before that he rolled around the house.
I think if he is a great crawler, that's what's getting him around right now and walking seems like a lot of work. I bet it will happen this month.

11.5 months. She went to full-on walking the day she first attempted it, meaning she never was one of those kids who takes a few steps one day, then a few more the next...she went from no steps to full-on walking in the same day.

Probably around 11 months he was taking a few steps, by the day after his first birthday he took off and hasnt stopped since.

My DS sounds the same as yours. he is quick as lightning crawling but will only walk holding on to your finger.
He has taken a couple of steps here and there but always looks for a hand when he wants to try to walk.
he is 13 months, 1 week.

My DD is like yours - she took maybe 5 steps and fell a lot at 14 months, but by 15 months she was walking confidently. Now she runs like she's been doing it from day 1.

DS was about 15 months. It really came out of nowhere too. He was a really fast crawler and would walk holding onto things. He would take a couple of steps here and there but always preferred crawling. (His first real step - without holding onto anything - was about 14 months.) Then it seems like one day he woke up and was determined to walk. Now (almost 17 months) he's a full on runner!

Just before he turned 16 months.
I will say that he walked across my parents' living room the first time he did it tho, he didn't take steps.
